Larson, wife of Lt. Col. Larson, senior project officer at the Air Force base. They have two children, a daughter, Lea, 7; and a son, Mark, 8 months. Some of the gals are e considerable number of miles from their original homes Mrs. Larson is from Mont gomery, Alabama. Mrs. Thomas M. Gerbing, wife of Major Gerbing, exec utive officer. Their household includes Mrs. Gerbing's sister, Viva Enborg; and originally Mrs. Gerbing came from Kings burg, California. Mrs. Oicar D. Whitten, wife of Major Whitten, installation engineer. They have four children two boys and two girls, Dennis, II; Mike, 9; Patty, 7; and Sherry, 5. Mrs. Whitten celled "home" Corpus Christ!, Texas. ( Mrs. Connelly W. Minner, wife of Major Minner, base supply officer. She is from Vancouver, British Columbia . ' ' Mrs. Lowell J. Swift, wife of Captain Swift, base main tenance officer. Thoy have two children;' Jimmy; 9;. and Jud;A 8. Mrs. Swift is also from Montgomery, Alabama. , Mrs. Ernest G. Clark, wife of Captain Clark, assistant base supply officer. They have two children, Jay, 1 1; and his sister, Judy, 8. Mrs. Clark's home town was Milton, Vermont. Mrs. William E. Scarboro, wife of Captain Scarboro, assistant installation officer. They have two sons, Billy, II; and Bobby, 6. Mrs. Scarboro was from Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Romie Royse, wife of Captain Royse, operations offi cer. She was originally from San Angelo, Texas. They have three girls, Rosalind, 9; Diane, 7; and Patricia, 15 months. Previous appointments had been made by Mrs. Whitten and Mrs. Clark for that day, so they were not at the luncheon. ' MRS. J. ' Photo by Milly Ramsby Today's Page Is Dedicated to the Wives of Eight USAF Officers As a Gesture of Welcome From Klamath Falls Women To the First Feminine Representatives Of the New Jet Interceptor Base A group of local women decided recently that one way to let the 8 wives of USAF officers (stationed here to set up the jet interceptor basel know that Klamath Falls is happy to have them as new members of the community would be to issue a blanket invitation to the wives to be their guests at a glad-you're here let's know-each-other luncheon. The initial plan was "one Klamath Falls woman as hostess to one USAF officer's wife." But response was so enthusiastic that in spite of sudden illness and unavoidable last-minute changes in plans there were more hostesses than guests. In fact, luncheon reservations were limited to 20 because more would be unwieldy and difficult to keep on an easy, informel basis the underlying aim of the luncheon, which was preceded by a social hour. Some had met prior to the luncheon day but guests and hostesses all wore cerds inscribed plainly with the wearer's name to ease the strain on memories end to allow more time for fun. The group had been invited by one of the hostesses, Mrs. H. O. Juckeland, to drop by her house after lunch. The hostess list included Mrs. J. Frank Adams, Mrs. J. Martin Adams, Mrs. George Clark, Mrs. Harold (Bud I Cloake, Mrs. Richard Currin, Mrs. H. O. Juckeland, Mrs. Walter Lassett, Mrs. Martin Ramsby, Mrs. Louis Serruys, Mrs. Elbert Stiles end Mrs. Lee Stoner. ' ' '. MRS.
