Frank Simmons, both former pastors of the Lakeview First Baptist Church, will take part in the annual Home coming and 71st Miniversary serv ice of the First Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 22 at the church. Moving Virl Shelton is moving his new business, the Credit Bureau of Lake County from the Wilcox Building to the former lo cation of Stewart's Jewelers across from the post office. The move will be completed this week. Operetta Role Joyce Dunham, Lakeview freshman at Oregon State College, has been selected for a lead role in the student pro duction of Gilbert and Sullivan's "H.M.S. Pinafore" which will be given at the college during Moth ers Day weekend on May 3-4. Mrs. George Chin will show movies ot the Portland and Pasadena rose parades. Death Takes Edward Quails Edward A. Quails, who came to the Klamath country in 1889 to go into the cattle business In the Hen ley district, died January 18. He would have been 90 years old on his next birthday, September 27 of this year. ( Mr. Quails remained in this area, for a few years, then because of harsh winters at that time re turned to California where he set tled In Clark's Valley, Fresno County. He remained there until his retirement in 1845. He was well known In Klamath Falls, having spent his summers here at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Todd. Mr. Quails, was a member of a pioneer California family. He was the father of four daughters, Mrs. Lloyd j.Haight, San -Diego, Mrs. Ethel Pesterfleld, Riverdale. Cali fornia, Mrs. Harry Todd, Klamath Falls and Mrs. Alva Oldham, this city who died in 1943. Five grandchildren who survive Include Robert Pesterfleld. Point Barrow, Alaska. Howard and James Haight, San Diego, David Todd, U. S. Air Force and Dennis Todd, Corvallls, Oregon. Local Motelman Leaves For Trip Keith Cobo, president of the Orejon Motor Court Association, left Tuesday for a trip through Eastern Oregon. With Ray Henderson, executive secretary of the association, The Dalles, he will make a survey of tourist accommodations In Pendle ton, The Dalles, La Grande, Baker, Ontario. Burns and Lakeview. They will meet with local groups in the towns visited. Henderson has Just returned from a board of director's meet ing of the Pacific Northwest Trav el Association at Missoula. Mon tana.
