V A NICE Group Concert Plans Drive The executive board of the Klam ath Community Concert Associa tion has set February 27 ns the date (or the kick-off of the annuul membership drive. Officers made the decision in t meeting Thursday night with LU' cllle Bchrelner, Community Con certs, Inc. representative, U e w York. . Andrew Iney Jr., president of the local board of directors said that an earlier date will be set at which renewals may be made Limitations on Renting capacity at the Pelican Theater preclude the 'ale of more uian 1507 member ship tickets. ' Mrs. Schroiner presented a brief outline to the board of artists available for the next concert sea eon. Loney said bookings in Klam ath Falls are largely dependent upon artists' availability on Wed nesday nights, since that is the only night on which the Pelican Theater, which has the largest Beating capacity, is open to the association. Three more concerts are sched uled on this year's agenda. The Boston "Pop.'" Tour Orchestra will present a concert on Wednesday, February 15; The 6ong Masters, a male quartet, on March 21 and Carol Smith, contralto, on April 11. On October 28, members heard Alfred and Herbert Teltschlk in n duo-piano concert. Tho Boston "Pons" will perform In Klamath Falls under the direc tion of Harry John Brown, assis tant conductor. Soloist is Ruth Slpnctynska, pianist. Attendance at the concerts are by membership ticket only. I Murray Condition Said Improved The condition of Percy Murray, president and general manager of Klamath Falls Creamery Company, Is reported Improved today by his doctors. He has been a patient at Hill side Hospital since early Tuesday morning following a heart attack at his home. No visitors are permitted. School Construction Bill Deadlock Reported Broken WASHINGTON 11 The House Rules Committee's deadlock over Uie school construction bill was re ported broken today, and the big debate on federal aid to schools is expected to hit Uie House floor next week. "And it will be a hot one," said Rep. McConnell of Pennsylvania, senior Republican on the House Education Committee. McConnell said "there's no ques- Former Resident Dies In Eugene Lester B. Kimble, former resi dent of Klamath Falls, died this week In Eugene. Mr. Kimble was resident of Klamath Falls from approximately 1930 to 1945. While resident nere ne was employed an accountant by the Shaw. Bertram Lumber Co. and Pelican Bay Lumber Co. Mr. Kimble was the first secre tarv of the Scottish Rite bodies in Klamath Falls and. was named to the Knight Commander Court of Honor by that body In 1951. Services will be held in Eugene at 2:20 p.m. Saturday at the Simon Launsberry Funeral Home with the Eugene AF&AM No. ,11 in charge. FORMAL INSPECTION ANDERNACH, Germany GB Chancellor Adenauer Friday made his first iormal inspection of units of the new West German army, navy and air force. The 80-year old chancellor was conducted along Uie ranks of 1,500 men drawn up on the parade ground at a training camp here. Other sources said the bill was coming out and debate would start Wednesday. Pending formal action by the Rules Committee next week, there was no indication how much time would be allowed for debate what attempts, if any, might be made to restrict amendments.
