Smith, Lakevlew, returned home Wednesday from a trip to Morton, Washington, where they attended the installation . of Mrs. Smith's brother-in-law, Neil Wright, as master of the Morton Masonic Lodge. I Frustrated Burglar Gets Only One Nickel Five cents was apparently the net take from a burglary Tuesday night at Fairview School, Klamath Falls police reported today. According to investigating Offi cer James O'Nell. the school was entered sometime after 6 p.m. and before it began to snow, as there were no tracks. The thief entered the building through an unlocked door and broke the gloss on the door of the principal's office to get the nickel, which was In a desk drawer. County Backs Dump Plans County court members said Wednesday they will lend their support to a plan for establish ment of a new city dump near Ashland Junction. County Judge U. E. Reeder ex plained that the county would build a road from the highway to the dump site, if the Klamath Disposal Company would allow county residents, exclusive of com mercial organizations, to use the dump without cost. The court will seek such an agreement with the disposal com- pany, if the firm decides to move from Its present location adjacent to OTI Road. A few weeks ago Winston Pur- vine. Oregon Technical Institute, director, appeared before the city council and protested against op erations of the garbage firm at Its present site. The school official said the dump was an "eyesore" and was keeping down property values in the area. Officials of the disposal corn pany expressed willingness to move the dump, if the land which they now occupy can be sold.
