Charmingly Yours, Club met Saturday, Decem ber 17, at the home of Mrs. L. E. Olson. We had no business meet ing as we had a Christmas party. For entertainment, we had a taffy pull and a gift exchange. Refreshments were cupcakes, which were served by our leader. All members were present. Our next meeting will not be until in February. The meeting was called to order by President Eunice Hunt. We learned how to thread a needle and knot the thread. We practlcea sewing on material also. Prion to his entry Into the Air Force last Nov ember, he attended Klamath Union High School. 4-H Leaders Name Parker ' Members of the Klamath County 4-H Leaders Association, meeting Monday night at the Klamath County Fairgrounds, elected Mrs. . Robert Parker to serve as presi dent of the association for the coming year. Others serving will be: Mrs. William Kun'z, first vice president; Mrs. George Reiling, Poe Valley, second vice president: Mrs. Blanche Hatchett, Poe Vnlley, re elected secretary and Mrs. Ray Billings, historian nd publicity. Mrs. Parker takes the place of Dale Fleming, Henley who was called into the service before his term of office as president was completed. Mrs. Parker conducted last night's meeting. Francis Skinner, Klamath Coun ty 4-H leader, Mary McConnell, 4-H assistant to Skinner and Hope Holbrook, Klamath County home demonstration agent were also present for the meeting. Discussion centered on plans for the new livestock arena to be built at the fairgrounds and plans for the coming year. Also announced was the purchase of nine dozen un breakable plastic water glasses and a metal silverware basket for $29.15 and' $7.62, respectively. The amount of $10.50 was turned In by the project committee from the sale of Christmas trees. Mrs. Bob Wlnfield turned In $1.50 from a coffee hour, Mrs. James Dixon read a devo tional. President Howard Bingham presided at the meeting which closed with refreshments. rf l h i' 1 PVT. NORMAN A. FREI, U.S. Marine Corps, spent the Christmas holidays in the U.S. Naval Hospital, it has been learned by his parents, Mr. end Mrs. Paul Frei, 3209 Crest Street. He suffered frozen hands the last day of cold weather training when he pulled a fellow Marine out of a frozen creek, and is still under treatment at the hos pital.
