New Grandchild Mrs. Merle Loosley went to Hayward to visit her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Wisenback who became parents of Robert James on De cember 15. Loosley left Malin in time to .spend the holidays w ith his family, bringing Mrs. Loosley home on January 4. Malin Mr. and Mrs. Con John. son and Coimy spent the holiday season with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Hau gaard, at Pasadena, visiting other relatives before their return. Mt. Laki A group of friends re. cently surprised Mr. and Mrs. John Short with a hnusewarming at their new home on Merrill Highway. Home Mr. and Mrs. Gray Bran. Mn. Ruby Ralston of Mt. Laki is back in Klamath Valley Hospital after Christmas at home. She was Involved in an automobile accident on the Merrill Highway in Septem ber and has been hospitalized since. Fort Rock Pvt. Richard More house relumed to Fort Ord on Jan uary 1 following a two-day leave at home. His mother. Mrs. Mabel Morehouse, traveled with him to California and will visit her sis ter, Mrs. Ruth Lawson. at San Jose. Morehouse has finished three uf his eight weeks of basic train ing. Word was received at Eastside that Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ma harrv of Tulelake arrived home Tuesday after visiting in Califor nia, Arizona and Mexico. Mrs. Ma- harry was formerly Mrs. Pearl Bunyard of Lakeview. Mrs. Delpnia Nelson and daugh ter Ivy left Eastside for Corvallis on January 2 for Ivy to resume studies at OSC. Mrs. Nelson will spend the winter at Shedd and Salem. Cancelation of the Ground Ob server Corps scheduled for tonight at Malin. A 6.30 potluck dinner had been planned. Reason for cancela tion is the failure of bird slides to be shown by Jim O'Donahue, Klamath Falls, to arrive from Flor idn. The program will be planned for the regular meeting in Febru ary.
