Sung titles were portrayed by Alice Lamm and Mickey Henry In "Only A Bird In a Gilded Cage;" Luclle O'Neill, "A Bicycle Built for Two;" Josephine Robin son, "The Charleston;' Margaret Lark In, "Hallelujah, I'm a Bum;" and Doris Predricks, the "Hit Tune of the Year." A letter of appreciation was read from Ida Odell, Klamath Falls member who has been confined to her home. Den Backes, president, presid ed. MR. AND MRS. DALLAS D. BALDWIN who were mar. ried December 16, at 7:30 p.m., in Klamath Lutheran Church, the Rev. Kent E. Spaulding, officiant. The bride is the former Joy Louise Lyon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Lyon, 2200 Wiard. She was given in merirage by her father. The bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob E. Speelman, 1820 River side. Attendants at the informal wedding were Joyce White and Charles Baldwin, brother of the bridegroom. Mrs. Arthur Deniion was organist. A reception at the home of the bride's parents followed the ceremony. For her wedding, Joy chose a street length dress of mauve moire faille, topped with a fitted jacket. She wore a white satin hat and caried a purple orchid on a white Bible. She is a graduate of KUHS, Class of '55; and her hus band was graduated in '51. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and was released last June. The couple honeymooned in Reno; and are now at home, 609 North Eighth Street. Photo by Guderian Pre-School Tots Hostess Party CHILOQUIN A Christmas sea ion party was given by two pre school age girls for a group of their friends at the Bible Standard Church Sunday School rooms last Monday night. Debby Zadlna and Terrl Jones with their mothers, Mr ' Anton Zadlna and Mrs. Lewis Jones greeted the guests. Ring-around-the-rosy and other games preceded the refreshment hour, which was one of the high lights of the party. As she showed the pictures Mrs. Beard entertained ihe group with comments on her personal experiences during her Irnvels. The short business meeting was conducted by president, Grace Cole. Twenty-two members were pres ent, and two guests, Ruth Bath- Ir.ny, Harbor, Oregon; and Bar bara Klines. Gladys Eager was welcomed as a new member. The next stated meeting is slat ed for January 37, with Gladys Eager, Bettie Hunter and Norma Uerllngs, hostesses. 4 T'A ' Surprise Shower At CF Meeting CHILOQUIN Members of the Camp Fire Leaders' Association, which meeti monthly at the home of Mrs. Dwlght Kircher, surprised the hostess with a stork shower at the December meeting. Expect ing that each person wai to bring a gayly wrapped toy for a gift exchange, she found that her package was the only one contain ing a toy, the others were gifts for the expected baby Kircher. Durine the business meeting, led by president, Mrs. Gerald Wolff, the secretary, Mrs. Earl Hall, gave a report on the 1808 birthday pro. Ject. which will involve sending veg etable seeds to countries In the Far East and learning some of the typical recipes used for those vege tables. A report on the '59 dad-daughter banquet showed that the pro ceeds covered all the expenses with a small amount remaining In the treasury. Campus Couple Takes Vows In Catholic Church on 26th Yuletlde decorations, red and white floral arrangements, a Christmas tree and Nativity scene were the festive setting in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, December 26, for the wedding of 'Suzanne Joy Frel to Delbert V. Cleary. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Frel, 2507 Get- tle, and her father gave her In marriage. Parents of the bride groom are Mr. and Mrs. George Cleary, Salem. The Service was read by the Rev. Timothy Collins at 4 p.m., in the presence of some 120 guests. Traditional white was chosen by the bride who wore a nylon lace and tulle gown designed with a very full, bouffant waltz length skirt and long sleeved lace bodice with a peter-pan collar. A crown of net outlined with a narrow net ruffle bordered with a solid row of seed pears held, her veil of Illusion. Suzanne carried a bou quet of American Beauty roses lied with wide satin ribbon and. her only Jewelry was a single strand of pearls. The four bridal attendants were Mrs. James Myers, sister of the bride, matron of honor; Mrs. Joe Lee, bridegroom's sister; Shirley A.' Crawford and Mrs. Ralph Crawford, grade, high school and college friends of Suzanne's, the three bridesmaid's. At the reception in the parish hall, Mrs. Carl Frel, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. George Myers poured; Mrs. C. C. Crawford cut the cake; and at the punch table, Mrs. A. C. Olson served ' punch with a wide variety of Christmas cookies and fruit cake. Suzanne, a graduate of KUHS, Is now a Junior in education at Oregon State College. She Is af filiated with Alpha XI Delta sor ority. Cleary is a graduate of Sa lem High School. He served four years in the U. S. Navy, 'and Is presently a Junior In fish and game at OSC. The newlyweds are at home, 218 North Eighth Street, Corvallls. From out-ot-town were Mr. and Mrs. George Cleary and son, Tommy; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lee and Lloyd Shelden all from Salem. Luncheon Guests Learn News Of El lis-Munson Betrothal Mrs. Sverre Munson was hostess for a holiday luncheon in the Peli can Party Room, Tuesday, Decem ber 27, when 6he announced the engagement of her daughter, Mary Ann, to Ken (Corky) Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Ellis. The room was attractively dec orated with Yuletlde greenery and a lighted Christmas tree lent an added festive touch to tne selling. Lighted tapers In silver candelabra and pink and sliver angels decor ated the luncheon tables and place cards were centered with two notes of music, one inscribed "Mary Aim" and the other "Cor kyrevealed the betrothal. Marion Mullin, Florence Lam propulos and Kay Jensen, who sang as a trio during their senior yeai nt KUHS, sung for their former accompanist, Mary Ann. Marion, dressed in a 1908 model bathing suit, provided humorous swimming pool atmosphere for Mrs. Munson's recitation of an original poem' describing the courUbip of .Mary Ann and Corky which blos somed at the new swimming pool. The party was also the first get together for many of the girls who hadn't been home since leaving for college last Sptemoer. Guests included Marion Mullin, Jackie Murphy, Kay Jensen, Jean ne Condrey.
