high percentage of commercial lots

use as planting stock. Last year
more than one-half the commercial
samples test planted were reported
to carry more than two per cent

were discarded.
But many commercial fields
were planted with stock carrying
one to two per cent leaf roll In
fection. Production from aueh fields
is extremely unlikely to be suita
ble seed for commercial planting.

Several programs have been in

baskets and toys to deserving fam
ilies and this year extended ef
fort was made to combine the co
operation of the various organiza

The new Klamath County Grand
Jury, appointed early this month,
went into, session Monday after re
ceiving instructions from Circuit
Judge David R. Vandenberg.

Two Teenagers '
Injured In Crash
Two teenagers were slightly in
jured when the auto Uiey were
riding went out of control and
overturned at about p.m. Mon
day on State Route M about two

Ted Knight. 31-year-old Chiloquin
logger, had been dismissed.
The dismissal followed further

Failure In Crescent
CRESCENT LAKE A beaver
toppled a Jackplne tree across the
(ifldstate . Electric . Cooperative's
power line, causing a nighttime
power interruption In the Crescent
Lake and Odell Lake areas last
week. The mishap occurred where
ihe power lines cross Big Marth
near Umli siding.
' Art Vance, Darrell Ferns and
Frank Petersen made the repairs.
The beaver felled the tree at 7 p.m.
and service was restored at 5 a.m.
