About 2,024 acre feet of water is flowing through the three control gates as this picture was taken. The river had raised three tenths of a foot in the five hours preceding photo. Three-Inch Snow Fall Reported - BONANZA Three Inches ol snow fell at Bonanza last night and Lost River, which yesterday flowed over the foot br'idse and the Horsefly Dam, is receding, "The Island," in Lost River was inundated yesterday and a band of some 25 sheep was isolated. The underwriters recommended these safety precautions during the holidays:- 1. Make sure that your Christ mas tree is not too big and that your lighting fixtures are In good shape. Don't let the tree stand in the living room too long before or after Chrisfmas. Place It in the coolest part of the room and never use candles as decorations. 2. Make sure that your chll drens new toys are safe. 3. If you're planning Christmas parties, be sure there are plenty of ash trays and keep a close eye on guests who become too full of holiday spirits. Check your stove to be sure it's clean. For winter-long safety, the board recommended: 1. Keep your home heating plants clean and In good repair. 2. Put fire screens In front of open fires. Make sure chimneys are clean and free of cracks. 3. Use care In heating rooms with portable heaters. Electric heaters can overload your circuits and oil-burning heaters should always be filled outdoors and kept away from drapes and furniture.'
