Family plans have scheduled Christmas dinner 5 FUNERAL services for Mrs. Bertha Marie Ambers who died December 18, will be held Wednesday, December 21 at 2 p.m. from the Klam ath Lutheran Church. Friends of Mrs. Ambers, resident of Klamath Falls since 1936, may call at O'Hair's Memorial Chapel until 12 noon, on the day of the funeral. Final rites and Interment in Klamath Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Victor Ongman, Oscar Solie, Pete Berg, Hialmer Rathe, Hans Norland and John Larson. Brutal Attack Case Reported County law enforcement officers were searching Tuesday for two Chiloquin women who are alleged to have beaten and cut an elderly man with broken bottles so severe ly It took 58 stitches to close his wounds. Sought for the brutal attack ere Phyllis Hill. 20. and Charlene Hood Eggsman. 19. The victim was Rol- . and Lalo. 59, of Chiloquin. . The alleged assault occurred Sunday night at the Pat Jackson Ranch, Chiloquin Junction, scene of two killings In the past two years. Sheriff Murray Britton said Lalo was found unconscious in the Jack aon ranchhouse by Deputy Sheriff Alvie Youngblood. Youngblood took Lalo to the Klamath Agency Hos pital. Britton also said Tuesday morn ing that he received word that the two alleged attackers had fled to New Mexico. Police Report Minor Accident There were no injuries in a minor accident at 1:43 a.m. Tues day, the Oregon State Police re - ported today. ! . An auto driven by William Phil lip Adams, 5187 Altamont Drive, and carrying two passenners went out of control on Riverside Drive a short distance north of Prye's Store, crossed the road and went into the ditch, knocking over sev eral mail boxes, police said. A tow truck was required to pull the auto out of the ditch. There were no citations. BOATS FEARED LOST TOKYO OP Three Japanese tuna boats with 62 men aboard are feared lost in the Pacific Ocean. 800 miles south of the cen tral Japanese island of Honshu. Kyodo news service reported Tuesday. Ships Search For Barge KODIAK, Alaska Ml Coast Guard and Navy vessels searched the North Pacific Tuesday for the four-man crew of the barge Sea horse on the faint hope the men may have escaped In a lifeboat when the barge sank during a weekend storm. The Coast Guard said the tug Pawtucket reported the Seahorse sank in Gulf of Alaska riptides off Pt. Gore early Sunday while being towed from Kodiak to Cor dova. Pt. Gore is at the tip of the Kenal Peninsula. Searchers found one wrecked lifeboat from the Seahorse but the barge was known to have carried a second motorized lifeboat which had provisions. No trace was found of the second lifeboat. Rexford Peters of Kodiak was the captain of the barge and Arlo Kee of Seattle was the engineer. The other two crewmen were not Identified. - The Seahorse, owned by the Ko diak Aleutian Salvage Co.. had been doing dredging work at. Ko diak. Peters, a captain In the Ar my Transportation Corps in World War II, was well known in Alaska. FAULTY WIRING Smoke coming from faulty wir ing resulted in the Suburban Fire Department being called to the residence of Ray L. McLane at 5:42 p.m. Monday. There was no damage. Firemen shut off .power to the house until repairs could be made in the wiring. River Reaches Flood Staae The Klamath River is In high flood stage as the result of the heavy rainfall near Its headwaters the past several days, according to a telephone report from Charles Motshmpn, president of the Klam ath California Chamber of Com merce. Motshman said the flood stage of the river near Klamath, which lies .near the mouth of the river, had reached from 14 to 16 feet Tvesday mnrninr. He called redio KFLW early this morning to ask the temperature and the weather forecast for this area for Wednes day. - The Associated Press reported Tuesday morning the U.S. Weather Bureau predicts cloudy with oc casional showers for the Klamath Falls area through Wenesday with a hleh of 45 Wednesday and a low of 35 Tuesday night.
