KF.J H Is going to present a Christmas program on Sunday, December 18 at 2:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. The public Is invited. The glee clubs and the orchestra are providing the mu sic for the program. The student council has chosen several stu dents for the tableaux and to help with the staging. Over 150 stu dents will participate. Girls in the home economics classes have been making several types or cookies lately . Some of ihem will be set aside to be put in boxes for the Christmas pro tect. These classes are Instructed oy Miss Wilson. The Library Club officers for the year arc: president. Daiiene Reynolds; vice president. Donna Zander; secretary, Janet Hcnin ger; treasurer, Eileen Myers and sergeant-at-arms, Betty Collie. The group has been making poster? tor "Be Kind to Book-i Week." Mr. Munhalt, Leathcrcraft Club adviser, has ordered the tools for the club, When they arrive, the club will start having rcgulat meetings. The Science Club has elected officers for the year. To be a member you must have average grades, have a project outside of class and have a desire to learn more about science. Every Wednesday the Camera Club, under the direction of Mr. Nitzel, meets to discuss the pic- lures they have taken. Right now they are developing their own film. Schrunk has been mentioned as a possible Democratic candidate for secretary of state. Eva is a former president of the Oregon Republican Club. The only avowed candidate for secretary of stale Republican Mark Hatfield, got his campaign under way with distribution to the press of a folder containing bio graphical material and his an nouncement comment. Howard Morgan, state Demo cratic chairman, said he had asked the Air Force to look into improper use of National Guard planes by the governor's office. This led to an exchange in which Gov. Patterson issued a denial of any impropriety and Elmo Smith, Senate president, said Morgan was so wrapped up in what he called "investigationitis" he had not tried to find out that the National Guard plane Smith took to a Re oubllrnn meeting was on a train ing fltght.
