was employed as a fireman In May,
1917. and promoted to engineer In

son, comprising the Dunsmulr com

chartered train leaving Dunsmulr
Saturday morning.

meet Shriners on two other char
tered trains for a celebration in

Unit will have a Christmas gift
exchange at their regular meet
ing December 13, 10:30 a.m. at
the Bonanza Library. Leaders for
the project will be Mrs. Ivan Bold
and Mrs. Cecil Haley on fancy
cake decorating.
It is suggested that members
bring a small gift under 50 cents
for exchange which they have
made themselves, either of home
cooked or baked things, or sewing
or craft work. Those who bring
children are asked to bring a small
gift for them to exchange.

big fish story. While fishing in
Hokendauqua creek he hooked
one that lie said "was so strong

treated at Sacred Heart Hospital
for a possible fractured nose.

habilitation, child welfare and edu
cation programs of the auxil
iary. A gift to the unit's adopted
veteran and "Daddy" gifts to Gold
Star children In the community
were also authorized.

A MOTHER'S JOY Dr. Alberto Gainza Paz is hugged by
his mother, Mrs. Zelmira Paz de Anchorena, on his arrival
at the Ezeiza Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Several
thousand well-wishers were on hand to greet Paz and broke,
through police lines to surround embracing mother and
son, both of whom shed tears ot joy. Paz was returning
from exile in the United States to reclaim his newspaper,
La Prensa, which had been confiscated by Peron.

DUNSMUIR Retirement plans
have been announced by Clarence
James Eachus who will be leav
ing Southern Pacific this month
after 46 years of employment. He
will make his last run as an en
gineer the last of the hionth.
Eachus went to work as a fire
man in July 1909 and was promot
ed to engineer in August 1918.

Applications must be filed with
the state auditor, Olympia, Wash
ington, by noon of December 31 to
be accepted, McCarty warned.
The deadline applies to World
War II veterans or their surviv
ors only. Korean veterans from
Washington have until December
31, 1957 to apply.
West Virginia veterans of both
World War I and II almost must
apply for their bonuses by De
cember 31. Applications go to the
West Virginia Department of Vet
