From School Btephen Nason and Jane Brader came from Wil lamette University at Salem, and David Brader came from San Jose Junior College to spend Thanks giving weekend in Chemult. John H. Brader and wife, who have been visiting with the V. I. Braders in Chemult for the last three months, left for a- visit with friends in California and Baja California. Mich I Authorities today question a 23-year-old Michi gan man arrested on a traffic viola lion charge in connection with the October slaying of three Chicago boys. Police Chief James Parker of nearby Holly, who arrested him. and two state police detectives said there was no evidence to link Owen Robert Moser of Fenton, Mich., with 'lie slaying Moser Is held In Oakland County Jail on a charge of possessing an unregistered firearm. Alturas The Ladies Auxiliary to Friends of the Loren Masten family of Chemult were saddened to learn of the death of Roger Bice of Bend, who was Mrs. Mas ten's brother. He Is survived by his mother, Bessie Bice of Bend, a brother, Harold Bice of Califor nia, and June Masten, sister, at Chemult. Funeral services were held at Bend last Saturday. Leave Chemult Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Chambers and children have left to spend the winter with his mother, Mrs. Gertrude Har ley at Chlckasha. Oklahoma. Mrs. Myers succeeds Mrs. Clayton Sweasy who has served In this capacity for the last J' years. The Tulelake Red Cross branch Is manned entirely by volunteer workers and Is attached to the Klamath County Chapter which has offices in Klamath Falls, ac cording to Burton Hoyle, Tulelake chairman. Other workers in the Tulelake branch are the Rev. Marvls Key ser, home service chairman; Pete Pcderson, first aid chairman, and Bill Ganger, blood chairman., Student Takes Own Life Dale Brown. 19-year-old student, shot himself in the head in front of a residence at 312 McKlnley Street early Tuesday morning, ac cording to police. He died Instantly. Dr. George H. Adler, Klamath County coroner, said the body was found by Max. Hoyal, a railroad worker. Hoyal discovered the body sprawled on, the snow-covered side walk. It was taken to Ward's Klam ath Funeral Home. Friends of the youth told police he had been brooding over an ill starred love affair. Parker said Chicago police were "mistaken" in reporting ' he had told them ' Moser had signed a statement admitting the triple slaying and added, "1 don't know where they got that idea." "Moser haa admitted he was In the Chicago area about the time the boys disappeared, and he has admitted picking up two or maybe three boys and taking them for ride," Parker said. "We think he may know more than he's telling. but that s all he has told us." The three boys Robert Peter, son, 14, John 6chuess!er. Jr., 13, and his brother Anton, 11 dls appeared Oct. 16. Their bodies were found in a forest preserve ditch Oct. 18. Parker said Moser admitted liv ing in a rooming house in Home- wood, III., 3S miles souiii of Chi cago, and working in a coltee shop there from January to mid-Octo ber, when he left for Fenton, Mich State Police Detectives Charles Lett and Mclvln Kaufman said he specifically denied any connection with the triple slaying.
