Baxter, Sta ten Island, New Yolk, will take place in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, December 28, at 9 a.m. " Announcement of the Yuletlde nuptials was recently made by the bride-elect's parents. Barbara attended KUHS here, and Jeffer son High School in Portland be fore enrolling as an art major at Marvlhurst College. She is a mem ber of Alpha Sigma Alpha Art Club: and of the school's alumni association. She has been working in the controller's office at the University of California, Berkeley, since . 1953. The prospective bridegroom Is a lawyer with the sales division of National Cash Register in Oakland, California. He formerly practiced law in Staten Island and was counselor to the state senate dur ing legislative session. January to April 1955, in New York. He attended Wagner College, Staten Island: Wisconsin Univer sity in Madison; and received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School, New York. He is a mem ber of Phi Delta Phi, International legal fraternity; and the Richmond County Bar Association, New York. He served in Atlantic Amphlfr lous Fleet. USN during World War II. N Weed Hi School Mothers Club WEED Twenty-five members of the Weed High School Mothers Club attended the regular monM ly club meeting Monday nl?ht No vember 21 In the home economics room at the Weed school. Mrs. John Mantle, president, presided, and reported on . the suc cess of the Community Halloween Party and thanked the members of the Mithers Club who assisted with the High School party, one of the six separate parties held In -the community Halloween night. The scheduled program was postponed because of the weather and ab sence of the program chairman. Mrs. Mario March! reported on the success of the completed coin apron project, and following the report the aprons were awarded to Mrs. John Mulvany, Mrs. Joe DeAvllla, Mrs. John Manton, Mrs. Myrtts Williams, Mrs. Gabriel Sbarbaro and Mrs. Odom Walker. Senior mothers assigned to we high school Sadie Hawkins Dance, reported on the successful event annually sponsored by the senior class. Refreshments for the dance were furnished by the Mothers Club. Refreshments were served ft lowing the meeting by acting host esses, Mrs. Pete Pellegrtno, Mrs. James Fruzx and Mrs. Axel Oranstrom. Mrs. H. L.
