Twenty-three tons of seed will
be used for the national forest and
the Weyerhaeuser reseeding, said
Windle. The estimated cost of
broadcasting on the government
land will be approximately 60 cents
per acre and the seed to be used
will be a mixture of orchard grass
and timothy.

load of seed which la broadcast
within 300 feet of the tree tops,

Windle stated that In December
1951 successful reseeding by heli
copter was done oh the Camp
Creek, Willow Creek and Dog Lake
burns. A rainy spring that year
made favorable growing conditions
for the grass seed, which helps
hold the soil In place until new
seedlings come up.

apparently failed to change Na
tionalist China's determination to
veto Outer Mongolia's admission
to the United Nations if a veto is
necessary.
Ji qualified official, who declined
to be identified, told The As
sociated Press today: "We might
not be forced to use the veto if
the West takes the proper atti
tude." By this he explained he meant
if the West would not give Outer
Mongolia enough votes to enter the
world body or better still, would
decide to cut her out of any
package deal.

of traffic fatalities on the 10 days
preceding and following December
1, E. C. gammons, Oregon state
director for Safe-Driving Day, has
notified all County 8-D Day direc
tors of the record Oregon should
try to Improve in the 1955 Ealc
Dilving Day, December 1.
gammons pointed out that there
were 34 traffic fatalities between
November 22 and December 12 in
clusive In 1854 and the success of
S-D Day this year In Oregon will
depend largely on the extent to
which this record can be im
proved1. The fatalities by days include
only those persons who died be
tween November 22 and Decem
ber 12, as a direct result of a
motor vehicle traffic accident dur
ing that period.

porting the fatalities resulting from
traffic accidents on S-D Day and
the 21-day period preceding and
following the day. The fatalities
on December 1, 1055, will be com
pared with the fatalities on De
cember 2, 1054, Nationally, the fa
talities on a Thursday are usually
higher than Wednesday totals.
