The bus), ness meeting will be preceded by a tea In the cafeteria from 2 to 2:45 p.m. The business ses sion will convene at the later time, 2:15. Dr. John H. Waterman, di rector of Mental Health Division of the State of Oregon, will be the principal speaker. The annual school carnival to raise funds will be held Friday evening, November 18. There will be lots of prizes and concessions. The carnival will start at 7 p.m. Women of the Moose are ask ing each member who attends the meeting of Chapter 467, to take a can of food for a very needy fam ily to the meeting. Members are also asked to take rummage for the rummage sale on Friday and Saturday. November 25-26 since this Is the last regular meeting of the chapter before the sale. Regular Meeting of the River side PTA will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 15. The sixth grade class under the direction of Mrs. Florence Pielke will give a demonstration in arithmetic. Annual Dinner The Klamath Lutheran Ladles Aids will hold the annual congregational turkey din ner and church bazaar on Novem ber 17. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. The church is located at 1175 Crescent Street. The pub lic is cordially invited. .Catholic Daughters The Catho lic Daughters will meet tonight at 8 p.m. in the parish church. A short memorial service for all deceased members will be held. Officer To Speak MaJ. O. D. Whltten, air installation officer at the Klamath Falls Air Base, will address a meeting of the newly- organized Ferguson School Parent and Patrons Association at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the school gynv nasium. A nursery will be provid ed for children. Degree of Honor The Degree of Honor will hold its annual turkey dinner tonight at 6:30 in the KC Hall. Members will furnish vege tables, salad and pie. Lionesses A Joint meeting of the Lionesses clubs will be held tonight at 8 in the city library. Members of the Klamath Lionesses will be guests of the Toketee club. Meeting The American Legion Auxiliary will hold a regular meeting Tuesday, November 15, at 8 p.m. at Fourth and Klamath. Chairman Lena Stuebin reminds members to bring donations for the gift shop. Ladies Aid of the Klamath Lutheran Church will meet Tues day, November 15. at 8 p.m. with devotions by Mrs. 'V. Ongman; box work by the Sarah Circle. Thanks offering envelopes will be collect ed. Members please bring in do nations for the bazaar to the meet ing. Hostesses will be Mrs. R, Steelman and Mrs. C. Owens. Accordion Shows To be Staged DUNSMUIR A series of ac cordion shows hi southern Siski you cities will be presented by the Stancato School of Accordion with the proceeds to be used to finance a band concert tour to Los Ange les The first performance will be In Weed's St. Michael's Hall on No vember 25. The following day the group will visit the Duruunutr Ele mentary School auditorium. On November 29. it will be at the Mount Shasta High School audi torium and on December 1 In McCloud. Soloists will include Marcia Scar boro and Sam Sarti. The guest artist will be Don Napoli at the Mount Shasta and Dunsmuir performances. The death rale among these lambs was only 5 per cent, com pared with the normal of 20 to 30 per cent In that class, Robbins said. Cattlemen Set Meeting The annual fall dinner meeting of the Siskiyou County Cattlemen's Association, hi cooperation with the newly formed Cowbelle unit will be held at the Yreka Inn. Yreka, California, Friday, Novem ber 18. The program will begin with a cocktail hour from 7 to 7:30 p.m., followed by dinner beginning promptly at 7:30. The dinner will be prime ribs of beef. The speaker for the evening will be Charles Kyd. manager, Pacific Coast offloe, Doane Farm Man agement Service with offices at Sacramento, California. Kyd, for many years, was livestock exten sion specialist at Washington State College, Pullman, Washington. He formerly wrote the column "With Washington Stockmen" for the Western Livestock Journal. Mrs. B. M. Austin will be project leaders. Luncheon will be served to the group at a nominal charge. Bring own table service and a pie pan. Board to Meet The Camp Fire Girls Board of Directors will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Cham ber of Commerce offices. ' Annual Bazaar The annual ba zaar of the First Methodist Church will be held Saturday, November 19. Doors will open at S a.m. A cream chicken luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The public is cordially invited. Camp Fire Meeting A meeting of the Camp Fire Girl's leaders from the newly organized North Klamath District will be held Tues day at 1:16 p.m. In the county library. GH Man To New Post The Great Northern Railway today announced the appointment of Ralph L. ' Merklin. general agent here, to the newly created post of general agent at Portland. E. W. Carter will succeed him here. W. E. Nicholson, western traf fic manager at Seattle, said the appointments will be effective No vember 16. Merklin has been general agent at KlSmath Falls since 1954. He came to the Great Northern ,nt White Rock, British Columbia, In 1940 and progressed through var ious assignments at Tacoma and Seattle before reporting to Port land in 1947 as assistant chief clerk in the traffic office. He was traveling freight agent at Portland before coming here. Carter has been with Great Northern since 1938. He worked in traffic offices In New York City, Washington, D.C. and At lanta. Georgia, before reporting freight agent. He has been travel ing freight agent in his most re cent assignment. John K. Cutforth will advance from city freight agent to suc ceed Carter as traveling freight agent, Nicholson said. R. M. Bres tel, assistant chief clerk at Port land, will replace Cutforth as city freight agent. Posey, executive sccie tary of the Oregon Education As sociation, will be present Tues day night for a county wide OEA workshop to be held at the Wil lard Hotel, announced Mabel Hanson, president of the Klamath County chapter of the OEA today. The session will start at 6 o'clock. The workshop, which will be attended by administrators, OEA officials and officers of other organizations as well as commit tee members, is designed to im prove "two-way communication between state OEA. county, local, and individual members." Thirty such workshops are being held throughout the state.
