his foreign policy views in a
speech tonight at the University of

The 1M1 nominee conferred with
former Beoretary of State Dean
Acheson, former Secretary ef In
terior Oscar Chapman and Demo
cratic national committee officials
in an overnight stopover here. -
From these and other confer
encea came word that Stevenson,
who was reluctant to take the nom
ination in now. is a deter
mined candidate ready for a
battle. ;
Friends said he plans to call on
the "old pros" of politics to run his
campaign while volunteers are or
ganized lor mm on a national
basis.
Once he is officially in the race,
James Flnnlgan, former president

three basic neeas for wildlife are
food, water and coves. The trees
and shrubs in the forests provide
cover and food. If' the forests are
well taken care of there is enough
water.
Forest management is now prac
ticing clear cutting In amall patch
to clear a space where shrubs can
get to the sunlight and produoe
better food tor the deer and other
wild animals.' Management of our
forests helps in the management
of our wildlife.
The movie emphasized that mans
carelessness ruins the land and
our wildlife. Fire is one of the
major dangers to our forests and
