MELVIN EUGENE EACRET who were married October 13, in Immanuel Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m.; the Rev. Charlei W. Myeri, officiant. The bride is the former Marjorie Christine Reeves, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. La Verne Hammond, 2043 Hope; and she was given in marriage by her uncle, Carl Gibson. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Eacret, 3055 Lodi. , For her informal wedding, Marjorie wore a blue velvet dress with a low oval neckline and rhinestone trim. Her bouquet was of white, yellow arid gold, carnations and spider chrysan themums. The couple was attended by La Verne Perry, who wore pink taffeta; Bob Eacret, bridegroom's brother, best man; and Jerry Hamilton, usher. The newlyweds are now at home, 3055 Lodi. Photo by Ferebee ' "ORCHIDS TO YOU" IS THEME FOR VERA FRITSCH RECEPTION "Orchids to You" was the theme for the evening reception held by1 Prosperity Bebekah Lodge No. 104, October 22, at the IOOF Hall in honor of Vera Frltsch, conductor of the Rebekah Assembly. Guests were received by noble grand. Helen McCornack; Vera Frltsch, honored guest; and the vice grand, Irene Rickman. After a welcome address by the noble grand, the colors were presented by Helen Mlck. and Edna Koeh ler. Incidental music was played by Alma Cofer. . Guests lnt.oduced were Charles I.eib, noble grai of lOOP Lodge; Frank McCornack, chief patriarch, Ewuana ' Encampment 46; Louis Frltsch, master of Crater Lake Lodge; Vera Fritsch, who is also worthy high priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem; Thelma Fink, worthy matron and Ray Grams worthy patron of Manzanlta Chap ter, 172, OES. The program, arranged by Helen Mick, featured a group of girls from Theta Theta Rho Club No. 8 &r? & t i Vj v ) . .v who sang several songs acconr panted bv Mrs. Al Nyback at the piano; Donna Carter, accordion sob; and Mildred Rexford, from Merrill Rebekah Lodge No. I5l entertained with a special "ghost stnry" reading. Sister Vera Fritsch was further honored with a clever addenda by iiorene McCollum. Irene Rickman and Bernice McCracken, providing pages for an extra large greeting card, after which noble grand, Hel en McCornack presented an espec ially designed cover in gold and orchid with a gift from the lodge, 1 The reception table covered with a lace cloth over orchid, was cen tered with an "orchid, tree" of miniature purple orchids, gold and orchid ribbons and lighted tapers. Pouring coffee was Iona May Wells; and presiding at the punch bowl was Laura Uerlings. TNTers and husbands were invited by hosts, Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Adams, 2015 Huron, to a party at the Adams home Sunday evening, in honor of Mrs. Shaw, mother of the hostess. Mrs. Shaw, known as "Shazie to her host of friends, has been identified for many years with the business, civic and social life of Klamath Falls and her retirement from Shaw Stationery Company had little effect on her busy calen dar of varied activities. OES Aloha PMC Aloha Past Matrons Club met lor a Halloween luncheon-meeting Friday, October 29, In the Masonic Hall with hostesses Kate Peyton, Myrth Bartlett and Clara DeWltt. The large serving table and card tables were cleverly decorated with black cats. Jack o' lanterns, spooks, etc.; and seasonal refresh ments were served before the short business meeting conducted by Charlotte Martin. During the meeting, Olive John son, Jormerly of Zllla Chapter, Or der of Eastern Star, Newport, Washington, was welcomed as a new member. Special prize for the afternoon was won by Norma Uerlings. Holley, worthy matron-elect, reported on her recent etlendance at Grand Chapter in Long Beach; and further plans were formulated for the installation of 1956 officers. The ceremonies, scheduled for November 8 in the White -Pine Hall, will be preceded by a short anteroom chapter meet ing. Token gifts were presented to the presiding worthy officers for their year's service; and Mrs. Ed win Hickcy sang a solo in keeping with the presentation theme. Pumpkin shells were effective containers for arrangements of fall leaves and flowers and autumn and Halloween decor was used on the tables in the main hall where refreshments were served piter the initiation meeting and presentation. Hs'loween favors marked the plac es for the 40 attending members.
