Balsiger, a sophomore, is majoring in mechanical engineer ing. Army Maneuvers Pvt. Cllve K. Purvine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Win ston D. Purvine, Oretech, recent ly took part in a field training exercise held by the U.S. Army Sth Infantry Division In Southern Germany. Purvine attended Ore- gun oimc uiickc ui lui lu ilia en try In the service in September 1954. His father is director of Oregon Technical Institute. Army Games Pvt. Charles B. Mack, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Mack, Route 1, Klamath Falls. Is assigned to the aggressor forces in Exercise Sage Brush, a joint Army-Air Force maneuver to be held in Louisiana November 1 to December IS. A graduate of Henley Higb School, Mack attend ed Oregon State College prior to entering the service. Thomas Rutkowski was released October 18 from Klamath Valley Hospital and has returned to her home 'at Macdoel. She received fractures in an auto mobile accident. Cpl. Ernest Puddv who sulfered a heart attack at his home in Bo nanza Saturday is undergoing treatment at Hillside Hospital in Klamath Falls. - . At Macdoel Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith Jr., and four Chil dren and her fullier, Ernest Graves all of Langell Valley, spent Sunday at Macdoel with his sister, Mis. Lewis Parsons and lamily. Jack Horn son of Mrs. Flor ence Horn of Bonanza, has re turned to high school wnere he is a freshman alter being out a week. He received a broken shoulder in the football game with Chuoquin on October. 14. California Mrs. Mickey O'Keelfe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Gift of Langell Valley, and her two children are now at Seaside, California. Her husband is stationed at Fort Ord. Ellen Stalnaker returned to her home at Strawberry Point, Iowa: Mr. aud Mrs. Merwin Stal naker and Uncc-monlhs-old twins, Dawn and Donna have gone back to Valleio, and Kenneth 5lalnakor has returned to Barstow after all of them had visited in Langell Valley. Griffin was a re. cent visitor in the home ol Mr and Mrs. Lee McBride. He was en route from Eugene to his home in Grand Junction, Colorado. Mrs. McBride is Griffin's sister. Mr. Esgate came to Klamath Falls 26 years ago and was en gaged for many years as a car penter contractor. He also oper ated a grocery on Shasta Way for two years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in this city. He was born November 7, 1877 In Chester. Iowa. Mrs. Esgate died In December. 1954. and a son, Harlan, died in June, this year. Mr. Esgate suf fered a stroke five months ago from which be failed to recover. Survivors Include eight daugh ters, Anna Moats. Klamath Falls.
