' The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hirning, MeMinnville. The bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Gilfillan, Klamath Falls, and his father attended him s best man. She plans to visit the two hospitals where she trained the Boston General and the Mental Hospital at Waverley. Shower Fetes ( Recent Bride BLY Recent bride, Mrs. Davio Clemens, was feted at a miscel laneous shower Wednesday eve ning September 28. at the. home of Mrs, Lewis Cobb. Hostesses for tho occasion were Mrs. Lewis Cobb. Mrs. Carl Chase, Mrs. James Briley, Mrs. Lawrence Little and Mrs. Jim Harter. Senior girls of Bly High, assist ant hostesses, served refreshments and conducted the game session. Winners in games were Barbara Poison, Klamath Falls: and Mrs. Thomas Thomson. The guest list included over 100 names with a large percentage at tending. Out of town guests were Mrs. Bill Jones, Lila Mission and Barbara Poison, Klamath Falls: and an aunt of the honotce, Mrs. Frank Gabriel, Olene. Shower Honors Mrs. B. Skelton Mrs. Boyd Skelton was honored suest at a layette shower, Septem ber 1 1!, at the home of Mrs. Flor ence Fanning, 2301 Lberleln. Approximately 2o friends and relatives were invited to arrive at 7 p.m., and as they were greeted at the door, each was given an ar tificial flower holding a number for the special prize drawing. Bon nie Thompson's flower carried the lucky number. Other prizes were won by Charlotte Carr end Rose Smith The honoree was presented with a natural corsage of baby rose buds early in the evening. RONALD HAWKINS, who wera married in England, March 20, 1954, have bought a home in Malin, which they will occupy after the first of the year. Mrs. Hawkins arrived in Klamath Falls by plane September 17, 1955, from Nottingham, England, where she was born and reared. She is the former Joan Pearson, daughter of Mrs. L. Pearson, Nottingham. Hawkins returned to the states in October 1954, after four years with the U.S. armed forces in England. He received his discharge a month later. His old job with the. Lovsness Lumber Company in Malin was waiting for him when he re turned; and he is presently employed by that firm. He is the son of Mrs. Jack Story, who also lives in Malin. SOJOURNERS A lnrge number of Sojourners and their guests met for a no- hostess luncheon at the Willard Ho tel on Wednesday, October 12. Fol lowing the luncheon a short busi ness meeting was held and plans for the fall dinner-dance were an nounced by chairman, Mrs. Mary Aim. It will he held at Club Cal-Qre on October 22 and all members and associate members of Sojourners and newcomers to Klamath Falls are invited to attend. For reser vations call Mrs. Ron Fisher at 70. Next regular meeting of Sojour ners will be -October 26 at the Willard Hotel. Newcomers to Klam ath Falls are urged to attend meetings on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wlrth and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kent were hosts for the event at the Kent residence, 1931 Fainter.
