Fall Seminar Held Monday The annual Eugene Eastern Sub-District Fall seminar of the Women's Society for Christian Service was held at the First Methodist Church in Klamath Falls last Monday with Bly, Lakeview, Klamath Falls societies participat ing. ' Presiding over the meetings was Mrs. Joe Bramhall. sub-district president. Mrs. Fred Wade and Mr A. w. Cowman were In charge of registration. Dr. Dallas McNeil of Klamath Falls gave the opening devotions, and Mrs. McNeil accompanied by Mrs. E. B. Redman sang. Mrs. A. S. Feller, conference secretary on missionary education, of Camo White, cave a talk on missionary education work. ! District officers participating in the workshop were Mrs. Larry Watson, vice president, of Eu- gene; Mrs. Frank Alexander, sec-! retary of missionary education and service, of Eugene; Mis. L. B. Pierce, spiritual life" secretary, of Medford. and Mrs. J. Brisbow, sec- j retary of Christan social relations and local church activities, of Eu gene. Also present were Mrs. E. Mrs. Pierce outlined the study ol I The Christian Mission in a Revo-; lutionary World" and led a discus-1 ion on the worship period. . j Mrs. Alexander discussed the study of Indian Americans and the duties of the local missionary edu cation and service duties. Mrs. : Brisbow reviewed "To Combine ; Our Efforts for Lasting Peace," and discussed local church acttvl-; tics and Christian social relations. Sub-district presidents, including Mrs. 'James Dixon, Bly; Mrs. P. i Herron, Chiloquin; Mrs. A. Her bert, Lakeview. and Mrs. J. Brew er were introduced. The afternoon worship service was led by Mrs. Redman, who used the seminar theme. 'Crown Thy Good with Brotherhood." Members of the Klamath Falls and Chiloquin Societies led the closing devotions. The Lord s Supper will be observed at the close ol the service. The women's quartet will sing a special number and there also will be music by the choir The youth group meets at 6:30 p.m. Musical night will be fea tured at this service. "What it Costs Not To Be A Christian" is the sermon-subject for the evening service, 7:30 p.m. Kay Parker will play an accor- dion number and Vera May will sing a soprano solo. The choir will sing m selected number at the eve ning service.
