MONDAY. AUGUST 8. 1935 4-H Group Tours Basin A group of 50 Marlon County 4-H students and adults, headed by Ann Bergholz, Salem, county extension agent tn 4-H work and Ben Newell, Marion County exten sion agent, are making a three-day tour, today, Tuesday, and Wednes day to a number of Klamath County farms. The visitors are be. fng accompanied by Ray Peterson, assistant Klamath County agricul tural agent. Today the itinerary calls for Mops at Tulana Farms on the Up per Marsh lor a study of land reclamation; at the Henry Wolff ranch near Chiloquin to study si lage making and at several ranches In the Wood River area to look over pastures and to observe man agement practices. Tuesday the visitors will see the Weyerhaeuser Mill and hardboard plant, will visit the Holliday ranch operated by Howard and Lee Holli day, will lunch at Moore Park and see the seed production operations on the E. A. Geary ranch. Wednesday the visitors will head south, stopping at the Earl Mack ranch to study flock Improvement, will observe potato cellar construc tion, alsike clover seed production. 4-H cattle feeding methods, will look over registered Hereford's at the Lawrence Horton ranch in Poe Valley and the dairy herd at the Stanley C.
