Some are believed still held as prisoners of Uic Commu-jon nist-led Victniinh, in defiance of the Geneva armistice terms. The figure was announced yes terday to the NnUonnl Assembly by Jacques Chevallicr, secretary of state for war. Some of the sol diers, he said, may have been de serters; many probably were killed In battle and their deaths not reg istered. Others may have died in prison camps. Confidence Vote Asked In France PARIS Oft Premier Pierre Men-des-France demanded a vote of confidence today after the National Assembly rebuffed his government on its Indochina budget. Former Klamath Resident Dies Word has been received here of the death in Santa Ciu on De cember 13 of Mrs. Lillian Panninu, former resident of Klamath Falls and mother of a well known Klam ath Falls man, the late Harry Pai'nint.
