OREGON Church Fellowship Group Holds Christmas Tree Sale The High School Westminster Fellowship of the First presoyter inn Church has pr?moted a num ber of Interesting activities In past months. Newest venture Is cutting and selling Christmas trees to make It possible lor more young people to enjoy summer camp at Luke of the Woods. Officers of the group are Flor eixe Wamstad, moderator; Rich- ard Seideman, vice-moderator and Peggy Wicks, secrelary-treasurer Fort Klamath Grange Meets FORT KLAMATH The regular meeting of Fori Klamath Orange No. 775, held uesday at the grange hall marked the Installation of the recently elected 1955 staff of offi cers. Present lor the event were members from Midland. Shasta View, Langell Valley and Merrill ts well a Fort Klamath. For the Installation ceremony, chairs were filled by Mrs. Boniloy Yancey, county grange deputy and member of Shasta View Orange, who occupied the master's station, ana her group of six specially trained girts who conducted the in stallation. Chosen to head the lo cal farm organization for the com ing year wero the following mast er, Grant F. Brown; overseer, Re mo Barnes; steward. Drove r Plantz; assistant steward. Dean Barnes; lecturer, Mrs. Forrest Doling; chaplain, Mrs. Sam Ray; secretary, Mrs. Fred O. Brown; treasurer, Fred G. Brown: Ceres, Carol Barnes; Pomona. Margaret Magnum: Flora, Jeanne Spicer: lady assistant steward, Mrs. Grant P. Brown. Executive committee members and their terms are: Henry Spicer, to serve three years: Beldon Kirk, two years, and H. T. (Mike 1 Williams, one year. At the close of the Impressive in stallation of the grange officers, SeHon Kirk was presented with a 25 year membership award In rec ognition of his long time member ship In the organization. Of Interest were announcements made of success of two local grange members In the ' recent statewide canning contest spon sored by Uie White Satin Sugar Co., Nyssa. Mrs. Fred O. (Cecil) Brown placed first In Klamath county grange competition in the tree fruit and berry division for her Jars of pears and mountain huckleberries. which were then entered in the state contest at Portland, where she was given third prize for the canned huckleberries, receiving 60 pounds of sugar each for coun ty and stnto awards, with an ad ditional prize of an electric coffee maker In the state division.
