Farm Program Support Urged LONG BEACH, Calif. Ml Sup port of the Eisenhower administra tion's farm program, Including flexible prico supports, has been expressed by the California Farm Bureau Federation. Ending its annual convention Thursday, the federation also urged an extension of Public Law 78, which has governed farm la bor procurement the last two years. 1 Forest Ranger Promoted Forest Supervisor Neal Rahm Is pleased to announce the promo tion and reassignment of District Ranger Robert Hays and Assist ant Ranger Harry Taylor. Hays Is being promoted to fill the Happy Camp district ranger position at Canby recently vacat ed by the transfer of Ranger Ze ger. Hays has been assigned to the Modoc Forest since 1849 and served as the assistant ranger at Canby for two years prior to his present position as ranger of the Goose Lake District. As a result of his many diversified assign ments during his Forest Service career and intimate knowledge of the Happy Camp district, he is well qualified for the position. Taylor Is being promoted to re place Ranger Hays on the Goose Lake district. He also has been assigned to the Modoc Forest since 1949. During this time he has re ceived framing and experience in all phases of forest administration by working on the Surprise Valley, South Fork and Big Valley dis tricts. During the past two years he has capably handled the assist ant ranger position at Adin. Hays and Taylor will wmt their new duties lata la November or early December.
