Women of Moose library chair man Photo by Miller-Williams Chapter Night Women of Moose Katherlne Rawlins, library chair man, women of the Moose, held her chapter night program, Tues day, November 2. During the eve ning, Mrs. Rawlins presented as a gift from the local WOM, a beau tifully Illustrated edition of "Little Women." to the city library. Addle Mae Nixon, city librarian, accept ed the gift for the library, and afterward, gave an illuminating and interesting talk on the his tory of children's books. Vocal solos by Edward E. Car rol, better known to his audiences as "The Singing Tailor," were n highlight on the evening's pro gram. The singer Is a member of. Loyal Order of Moose from Mon tibello, California. , Betty Mozlngo, sponsored by Mildred Eklund. was Initiated as a. new member, Mrs. Rawlins and her committee served refreshments to 43 mem bers and guests. 40th Wedding Anniversary - , MT. LAKI A surprise adver sary buffet supper was given for Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Blankenship by their children on the couple's 40th wedding anniversary at the DeLap home, Friday evening, October 29. Offering congratulations were: Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Waites, Mr', and Mrs. Ren Frain, Mr, and Mrs. Waly Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Denison, Carol Erwin, Mr, and Mrs. Earl Blankenship Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Gwinn Clemmens, Mrs. Susie Yadon, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Yadon, and boys Myron and War- ren; Mr, and Mrs. Charley DeLap. Jr. and children, Leland, Linda, Pamela and Lois. Invited but unable to attend were Mr. and Mrs, A, J. McManus and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fuller. The evening was spent visiting and playing canasta. HAPPY HOUR CLUB Hazel Drinkwater was hostess to the Happy Hour Club, October 26, at the Winema Hotel. Beta Sigma Phi hat sale is scheduled for November 12, in the Camas Room at the Winema Hotel. In connection with the sale, an informal coffee bar will be open from 1 0 to II :30 a.m., and from 2 'to 4:30 p.m. A number of prominent Klamath Falls women have been asked to' pour during the coffee hours. Jean Porter, Kate Peyton and Ella lie- Miuan. A delightful 1 o'clock luncheon was served. A beautiful arrange ment of yellow chrysanthemums graced the large serving table. Uer- lings, O'Brien, Poole, Harnden, wood, Dewitt, Porter, Peyton and McMillan. There were also two guests, sisters, Loney and Bartlett. A short business session was con ducted by the president. Alma Getz. The members were very clad to learn that Bister Sadie Holloway is greatly Improved and able to have a few callers now. The calling committee for No vember is Ida Grimes and Grace Cole. The next meeting will be on No vember 26 the day after Thanks giving. Hostesses will be Norma Uerlings, Charlotte Martin and Al ma Cole. During the social hour cards were played. Mrs. Guy Barton, Mrs. Fred Kelsey, Mrs. Paul Landry, Mrs. Clarence Ward and Mrs. George Elliott will pour at the cof fee bar. Coffee will be served to those attending the sale. A very interesting program on the history of dress was given by Mrs. H. R. Waggoner. BIRTHDAY PARTY A Halloween and birthday party was given for Joey Snyder, five, by his mother, Mrs. Leo Snyder, and co-hostesses, Mrs. Art Smith and Mrs. Frank Watson, at the home of the celebrant's parents in Sewart-Lennox Addition. Guests Included Richard and Ed die Collingwood; Jerry, Rodger, Skipper and Lora May Watson; Raymond, Jimmle and Georgie Manning; Mary, Beverly and Keith McDermott; Dickie, Donnie, Debby and Robert Chubb; Suretta and Wanda Madderra; and Joey's brother,. Steven, sister, Jeannle: and his cousin Jackland Snyder.
