Red China Population Announced
TOKYO, Nov. I (PI Red China
today claimed the staggering popu
lation of 601,830,000 people.
The Peiping radio broadcast the
new figure, saying it was based on
a direct census taken in June 1953.
It gave no explanation as to why
the figure only now is being released.

On October 25th, "The Three
Cookerettes" arrived at our meet
ing place and opened the door to
the aroma of freshly baked
bread.
Our leader, Mrs. Rexford, dem
onstrated how to make bread. We
are all to make bread at home
before our next meeting. -
In our business meeting we de
cided to name our club "The
Three Cookerettes." Since there
are only three members in our club
we think this Is a very appropriate
name. Wo are all looking forward
to our next meeting to hear what
luck everyone has with their bread
at home.

better road equipment maintenance, thus avoiding new pur

competitive bid basis, giving local merchants an equal chance
at all sales, and our Klamath County residents an equal chance
at disposal of all surplus equipment by placing it on sale by

I am running on the independent ticket, because In that
way I will not be obligated to any party committee, and will
be able to work for you, the public, where more people will
receive the most benefit.
I have no other ties and will be able to devote my full un
divided time to the job of County Commissioner, which should
be a full time job In itself. .
