The Trojans and the Antlers will face off on the Merrill High School turf with Iticlcoff time slated for 3 o'clock. Chiloqtsiii Siven ...Nod COUNTY LEAGUE . W L T PCT. Prank DiUlio's Chiloquln Panth-1 ers will represent the County League footballers in the district playoff November 8 at Merrill after action taken at a principals' and Coaches' Association meeting yes terday afternoon at Henley, A deadlock between the Panth ers and the Malin Mustangs arose over die league schedule as both teams finished the year with a -0-1 record, with the tie game on rach club's record coming in a 6-6 battle between the two teams. A vote of the five county schools that have football, that eliminates Bly, and another county school, Henley is an A-l school therefore Is not officially connected with the county B schools. After the vote was taken, Chiloquln drew a 3-2 uod over Jim Conroy's Mustangs. Both of these teams are through for the season, but two games re main to be played in the county this season, one of which is a league contest tomorrow and Sat urday afternoons. In a league game tomorrow af ternoon, Jim Souza's Sacred Heart Trojans meet headon with the Bo nanza Antlers under the coaching of Bob Johnson at Merrill with klckoff time slated tor 3:00. The Trojans will be led by the hard running of Dick Wlckline, Sa cred Heart fullback, who scored three times against the co-champion Malin team last week, while quarterback Dino Reginato and halfbacks Dean Michealis and Bill Depuy should add extra worries to the Antler defense. For Johnson's gridders, who have yet to win a game this sea son, and tomorrow could be the day, Cornelius Jenssen is the num ber one threat against the Trojans' chances for a victory to close out the year. In the non counting gridiron battle. Merrill travels to Henley Saturday afternoon for a 1:30 kick off time game that closes out the season for the two teams, Al Fairchlld's Hornets have racked up five wins in seven starts so far this season and will be fav ored to trip the high spirited Husk ies of Merrill. Jim Cheyne, Ron Kaylor, Jim Cunningham, Dale Searcy and Lou ie Zarosinskl will be in the Henley backfield to give Merrill several serious problems both lrom the rushing and passing departments. Should Henley turn the game into i passing war, Zarosinskl would probably be pitching most of his passes to Clarence Tollver his favorite target throughout Jhe season. Merrill has a devastating ground offense also, should they get roll ing against the A-l school, as Le- rov Johnson. Bill Green and Dale McCulloch are all capable ot buat- ine through to the Henley end zone if they are given just a sngni open ing.
