ABBOWSMITR DENVER ( President Eisen hower nds an elght-eelc work-and-play Colorado vacation today and heads back to Washington via Indianapolis, where tonight he makes a major farm speech the Republicans hope will win them votes. The President and Mrs. Eisen hower, boih well rested and reluc tant to leave, were scheduled lo take oft from Lowry Air Force Base at 1 p.m. and to arrive in Indianapolis about 6:60 p.m. Their private plane, the Colum bine, is due In Washington shortly after midnight, Eisenhower's addres at Butler University field house in Indianai olts tonight is being billed by the White House as "nonpartisan" but it's on an Important congressional campaign issue the administra tion's controversial farm pro gram. Rain Pelts Coastal Area By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Rain pelted the southeast coast al areas Friday as Hurricane Ha ?el headed toward the ; South Carolina coast. Strong winds- accompanied the downpour from Charleston to Wil mington, N. C, and hurricane warnings were posted from Char leston to the Virginia Capes and ftorm warnings elsewhere from Savannah, Ga., to Block Island, Showers spread northeastward cross the middle Mississippi Val ley and the Great Lakes region during the night but generally clear weather was reported in other parts of the country. t rnnler over most of the mid-continent, with temperature drops reported from Texas north ward to the Great Lakes area.
