last, and their great value to us in
our everyday life is being sought.
Mike Willlngham, a IBM Gil
christ High graduate, was home
on a short leave for the weekend.
Mike, an airman, 3rd class, at
Lowry Air Base In Colorado, stat
ed that he was glad to be home
even if for a short while. Mike did
some deer hunting on the opening
day of the season and returned to
his base by Monday.
Bob Sipe, class of '53. and Wally
Cory, class of '54, both students
enrolled in forestry at Oregon
State College, spent the weekend
here visiting with their families
and friends.
The first dance of the year, the
Hello Dance, given by the Grlz
zliettes, was a big hit for all at

break in the dancing program. De

made by the food committee, were

club will sponsor a Junior harvest
show during the Potato Festival
in Merrill October 22-23. A com

ing published and will also be sent
to all 4-H leaders and other who
might be interested. Mrs. Dale
West Is chairman for the show.
The next meeting of the club will
be held October 30 at the home
of Mrs. Hugh O'Connor In Klam

sunken ferry boat Toys Maru
would" discontinue operations to
