Beverly Is a graduate of Wood bury College in Los Angeles. Discharged Eddie and Charles Rackleff, twin sons of Mrs. Etese Rackleii, 2434 Reclamation, will be discharged from the Navy Sep tember 24. Climber Rescued From Mountains LONE PINE, Calif. 11 Rescuers today brought down from 14.496 foot ML Whitney an injured climb er, Henry Mandolf of San Diego, who fell 200 feet to a ledge. Mandolf suffered an arm frac ture, abrasions and possible Inter nal injuries as he lost his footing ' on an icy trail. He was trapped on the ledge for 25 hours in 18-degree cold before his 14-year-old com , panion, James Prichard of San Diego, walking all night to Whit ney Portal for help summoned for est rangers and sheriff deputies. An airplane directed the 17-man searching party to the ledge. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Leonard LaHoda are visiting parents and friends in the Klamath Basin. Leo nard was discharged from the Air Force August 15 and plans to make his home in Greenville, Mis sissippi. Improvlng-tMrs. Vern Schortgen Is improving following major sur gery at University Hospital In San Francisco. Mrs. Schortgen has been released from the hospital but will take treatments there for a few weeks. To Corvallis County Assessor A. R. Dickson and three apprais ers from his office will leave Tues day' for Corvallis where they will attend the school for assessors at Oregon State College, Septem ber 8. 9 and 10. Accompanying Dickson are H. L. Ferguson, farm appraiser: Charles Poteet and Lester Jones, building appraisers. To Medford Mrs. Lorraine Kra nenburg spent the Labor Day weekend In Medford visiting her sister. Returns Home Mrs. Frances Alderdice returned home Sunday evening from a visit to Kose burg and Eugene visiting friends and relatives. Visitors Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Whitlatch, Merrill, spent the La bor Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John Kirby in Medford. The Kirbys are former Merrill resi dents. From Springfield Mr. and Mrs. Tom Powers, former Klamath Foils residents, visited here over the Labor Day weekend with friends and relatives. Former Resident Mrs. Jessie Moore, f,7. mother of Mrs. Lou Kosel. former resident of Klam ath Falls and one time manager of Craig's Ready to Wear, died at the home of her daughter, Sep tember 4 In Roseburg. She had been ill about a year. Mrs. Kosel and her mother left Klamath Falls three years ago.
