FRANK L FOSTER HONEYMOONING IN -BAY AREA Eileen Teresa Brosnan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Brosnan, Meelin, Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland, be came the bride oC Frank Lawing Foster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel 11. Foster, Lakeview, August 7, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. ' The Kev. T. P. Casey officiated at the 9:30 a.m. Nuptial Mass and papal blessing. John Ely was organist for the wedding, which was a candlelight service, before a back ground of white gladioli, with touches of yellow and green daisies, a perfect foil for the bride's traditional white gown of Chantuly lace. The sculptured bodice and slim fitted waistline were accentu ated by the grand sweep of the cathedral train. A seed- pear crown of the same Chnntllly laco held her full circular veil of pure silk Imported Illusion. She carried a' white prayer book topied with a white, yellow-throated or chid tied with streamers and ctephanotls florets. Her uncle, Ben T. Murphy, Mer rill, gave her in marrlaKC. Maid of honor was Nora Murphy, cousin of the bride; and Ellen Murphy, also cousin, was brides maid. Both wore Nile green ballerina-length frocks of organzA over taifcta; small bandeaus of nymph green net and matching slippers. Their bouquets were yellow and white colonial arrangements. James Scroggins served as best man; and ushering were Derward Merrill, Lakeview; and David Liindrum. Mrs. Brosnan, bride's mother, was unable to come from Ireland lor her daughter's wedding. Bridegroom's mother wore a pale blue ensemble and a shoulder cor sage of pink rosebuds. Cuests were received in Uie Sa cred Heart parish hall Immediate ly allcr the reception. For going away, the bride wore a navy blue suit with large crisp white collar, while accessories, and the orchid from her bridal bouquet as a corsage. They will be at homo, 524 High Street, following a wed ding trip to San Francisco by way of the Redwoods. Eileen was born in Ireland and came to the United Stales four yoars Ago. Site is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Ben T. Murphy. Mer rill; and Mr. and Mrs. Dcnris Murphy, 420 North Fourth rftreei. The bridegroom is originally from Tennessee. He moved wltn his parents to Lakeview 15 years ago, their present address. Host of Friends At Shower For Mrs. Robert Magnuson Farewell Party For Two Couples MERRILL Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hammond and Mr. and Mrs. Eber Kilpatrlck were the honored guests at a farewell party Sunday evening August 8. in the Presbyterian Church social par lor. Seveniy-livc friends ot the two couples enjoyed the potluck supper and musical entertainment which followed. Tlic Rev, George Milne made the gilt presentation, and Jed Murphy was master of ceremonies. The musical program during the evening Included a vocal solo by Carol Poe: piano solos, Lillian Thomas; vocal trio, Phyllis Ran kin. Carol Wynunt and Jerry Mur phy; and several quartet numbers by "The Foreboders ". Mr. and Mrs.. Louis E. Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Jed Murphy. Mr. and Mrs. Hammond and two young daughters are moving to Klamath. Falls, and the Kil patticks will live m Eugene. Both couples have been active In church and civic affairs during their k residence here. FORT KLAMATH At eight o'clock Wednesday evening. Aug. ust 4, the C.I. Clubhouse was the setting for a beautifully arranged shower given ln( honor of Mrs.' Robert Magnuson. tnee Joyce Copcland), bride of July 8. Hos tesses were Mrs. William C. Mar tin, Mrs. Wilbur B. Hescock, Mrs. Donald W. Wlmcr, Mrs. Daniel Brown, Mrs. Richard O. Varnum and Mrs. Harold L. Wlmcr. Delphinium in all shades of blue, combined with white Shasta daisies and other summer blooms, from the garden of Mrs. Seth Dixon and Mrs. Loren L. Miller Sr.. were used In profusion about the rooms and on the tables. A white satin ribbon - covered arch, beneath which stood miniature fig urines of A bride and bridegroom, small pink bells and tall lighted tapers accented the wedding motif, oi which the predominating decor ating colors were pink, blue and white. Quests were entertained by a mock wedding ceremony. "The Rev. Petunia Twiddlebottom," (Mrs. Harold L. Wlmen was offi ciating minister. The "bride" was Patti Lou Hescock, and the un willing "bridegroom" was her sis ter, Sharon:, "bridesmaid' was Gladys Kendall, and "matron ol honor", Mrs. William C. Martin, "mother" of Uie bride. "Father" ot the kids was Mrs. W. B. Hes cock. In full cowboy regalia and wearing toy six-shooters, little B-days Shared For 15th Year LANGELL VALLEY Mr. and M rs. Dee Chandler and Gloria came over from Lakeview Monday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Lea Leavitt, Cora and Dee celebrated their birthdays as they have for the past 15 years. either at Lakeview or Langell Valley. Joining them later In the evening were Mr, and Mrs. Owen Pepple, Mr, and Mrs. Bill Burnett and fam ily; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Pepple, Michelle and Pamela: Mr. and Mrs. Leland Harris and Howard Pepple and daughter Gladys, Kirkland, Washington joined them for a pleasant evening. Harold Charles Redden and his brother Leslie acted as "train bearer" and ring bearer, respec tively, the former carrying a real toy train. The unusual wedding party entered the room to the strains of Lohengrin's Wedding March, with Mrs. Jack Taylor at the piano. Following the mock wedding, gifts were opened by the young bride, assisted bv her mother, Mrs. Alvin Q. (Myrtle Copcland. Mrs. DanleJ Brown recorded the gift list. Refreshments were served in the club dining room from a lace covered buffet table decked with summer blooms and lighted pink tapers. Guests were seated in the main room at long table., also with flower and lighted taper dec orations. Punch and coffee were served from large crystal punch bowls and silver coffee services .placed at either end of the refreshment table; which was centered with a large white and silver decorated cake, made especially for the oc casion by Mrs. W.
