Though it was not specifically stated in the news release, this increase in the bag limit includes the tributaries of Unity Reservoir in addition to the reservoir. Bag limit was raised to 30 fish per day since the reservoir is to be chemically treated in the near future to rid it of rough fish. Kittredge To Attend Meets Oscar Kittredge. whose candidacy for state senator from the nth sen sorial district of Oregon was con firmed Tuesday by the Republi can State Central Committee, is finding busy days ahead. He has accepted an invitation to attend a meeting of supporters at Bend Friday evening. Saturday he will go to Madras to attend the Jefferson County Fair and the 4-H Club show. On Sunday he has an engage ment to meet with friends at Prine ville and will return to Klamath Falls Sunday evening. Farm Spray Uses Reported TULELAKE Scientists have found they can boost the killing time of insecticides up to 1.000 per cent by using chemical "Extend ers" according to Ken Bagho'.t. farm adviser. DDT used in an oil solution wis effective less than 15 days, ento mologists found. By adding methyl f thvl ketone they boosted the lethal period to 60 or more days. Aldrm and Lindane were improved even more. In normal oil or emulsion spray they killed flvs less than 10 davs in outdoor weather conditions. Using the extender in place of the oil or emulsion, scientists obtained nearly perfect fly control for more thn 10S days an increase of over 1.000 per cent. The reason why oil-based sprays do not last is that the oil. carry ing the DDT. penetrates the leaf. When a highly volatile solvent auch as methyl ethyl ketone is substitut ed for the oil in DDT apravs. it quickly vaporizes, laving a residue of DDT on the foliage surface. "It's high time we started living In an up-to-date world." said the cartoon wizard. -You simplv can't ignore such thins as birth any more.' The movie Is "The Vanishing Prairie." one of Disney's true-life adventure films, a series which has won six Academy Awards. The New York, censors have denied the fnm a license because it showed the birth ef a buffalo calf. The action got Disneys dander up. and he's a fellow who doesn't madden easily. He claimed the board's thinking was outmoded. "There have been many scenes In these animal pictures which have thrown out for reasons of taste," he remarked. "But I felt this scene belonged in the film. It was a clean birth and very fast. I don't see how anyone could be touchy about it.
