Loosley, was an event of Sunday, August 1st, nt the Loos ley ranch liume. Perfect weather prevailed, and the day was spent in visiting and family reminiscing, highlighted by a bountiful put lurk luncheon served at noon under the trees on the lawn of the Loosley residence. The huge rock for the waterfall was found on a side hill near Shady Pine, after a long search for one large enough, Picnic end Get-Together FORT KLAMATH A group of ofticers and members of the Wood River Pioneers and Old Timers met Wednesday evening, July 28, at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. William Zumbrun to plan this year's get-together and picnic of the organization. They will be sum mer events of Saturday evening, August 14 and Sunday, August 15. The get-together will start with a business meeting at 8 p.m., with election of officers and other busi ness transacted; followed by a so cial hour of dancing and visiting. Refreshments to be served by members of the Wood River Pio neers. The big annual picnic will be held at 1 p.m. the following day, at the Jackson F. Kimball State Park. Committee for picnic ground arrangements are Emmet t Sise more, Emmett McKeever and Ctuss A. Page. Sisemore will also brew coffee for the crowd, assist ed by a committee-appointed by him. Prizes will be given for the old est couple present; also to the old est bachelor: and to the member havinp the largest number of chil dren in attendance at the picnic. A sack race will be featured this year also, In addition to spe cial musical entertainment. Alter the meeting the group watched television, and the hos tess served retreshments. Klamath Falls, spent the weekend with his parents the Owen Pepple's. Pam stayed with her grandparents until Tuesday. The Bonanza Women's Club met at the library the afternoon of August 3- President Esther Brown was in charge of the short busi ness meeting. The hobby class was lamp making led by Mrs. Brown, lola Horn, Lenore Sparks and Ann Dalton were hostesses and served refreshments at the close of the hobby class. Present were Mrs. Howard Beck. Mt. HOST OF FRIENDS ATTEND SHOWER FOR RUTH PEYTON AT BONANZA BONANZA One of the loveliest showers of the season was given at the Bcaaiua Library Uie evening of July 23, in honor of Ruth Peyton, brid-5-elect of Ted Pepple. Red and white were the colors used for the decorations. An Invert ed red umbrella filled with white flowers hung from the celling, and prettv bouquets of red and white flowers were used throughout the room. Red and white tapers, and cakes frosted in red and white, were on the refreshment table. Gifts were arranged at one end of the large room. Ted helped Ruth open the gifts. Two readings were given by Mrs. Jo Givan. Mrs. Jeanette Fernlund sang two songs and Polly Noble played two. selections on her ac cordion. After the opening of the gifts, re freshments were served and a so cial evening enjoyed.
