Medical Examiners Pass New Doctors PORTLAND . lifl Ninety-one physicians and surgeons and osteo pathic physicians have new li censes to practice in Oregon, the State Board of Medical Examiners announced Tuesday. They include: Physicians and surgeons Gay lord D. Ward and Paul T. Stenn feld. Baker; Donald L. Mack and Robert L. Mighell, Eugene; Har old C. Field, Mapleton; Floyd L. JeDson, Salem. Osteopathic physicians Ralph D. Cooper, Lebanon; Robert L. Roth, Glendale. - Patterson Names Commission Member SALEM im Lawrence R. Teeple, Portland, chairman of the Oregon Development Commission, has resigned. Gov. Paul L. Patterson' Tuesday appointed T. P. Sandoz, Astoria, to succeed Teeple on the commission. Joseph W. Smith, Portland, is the new chairman. The commission was created by the 1953 Legislature to try to get new industries to locate in Oregon. Bob Hope To Portray Life Of Entertainer, Eddie Foy By BOB THOMAS HOLLYWOOD W It was family day when Bob Hope began his pic ture on the life of, the great- en tertainer EddlQ Fqy. . On one side of ' the stage were Bob's wife Dolores and the four little Hopes. On the other was a group including at least three of the onetime little Foys Mary, Madeleine and Charley. The two family groups and doz ens of other amused spectators watched as Hope and seven talen ted youngsters ran through the first musical number of "Eddie Foy and the Seven Little Foys." It was a riot. Hope and the kids were all decked out in yellow out fits, from shoes to bowler hats. But the thing that interested me was that here was a different Hope. He has sprung eternal as the brash, slightly leering hepster. But now he was playing the elder Foy. His eyebrows were peaked, his eyes had a clownlike dot under them and his mouthline was ex tended with makeup to give him the purse-lipped Foy trademark. He also sang with a lisp and wag gled his head like the old boy. "I've worked with Bob for hours," said Charley Foy, who runs a night club in the San Fernando Valley. "He's amazingly like the old man. "He says he's going after the role the way Jimmy Cagney did George M. Cohan. He did the dance numbers like Cohan, but the dram atic scenes were Cagney." Inci dentally, Cagney will appear as Cohan in the foy Epic and do a number with Hope. Hope and his film 'children went through a number called "I'm the Greatest Father of Them All," and Charley waxed nostalgic over it. Almost exactly 40 years ago, the collective Foys did the same num ber at the Palace in New York. Charley helped dance director Nick Castle re-create the routine.
