(Bob) Thomlinson, who was a stu dent at OTI after World War II, has been detached from his navy assignment at Seattle to become chief of radio and television at 3rd Naval District headquarters, New York City. He was recalled to the service from Portland in 1951. Corvallls The Oregon State Marine Corps League convention, aponsored by the Santiam detach ment of the Marine Corps League, will be held at Corvallls, July 24. All ex-Marines, Marines and their families are invited. Vacation Carlotte Askworth of Reave Beauty, Shop, is on vaca tion until August 1. Visiting Mrs. C. W. Robinson, tho former Shirley Robinson, is visiting from her home at Tor rance, California, with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred B. Robin son, 1160 Crescent. With her are her three children, Roy Christo pher, Nancy and Janet. This is her first visit here in three years. Her husband, an engineer for air research, is' on a navy cruise and will Join her here in two weeks. Kendrick, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Sionebarger, Yreka, was recently graduated from the 2nd Infantry Division's Non-Commissioned Of ficer Academy In Korea. A 1951 graduate of the Yreka High School, he was employed by Safeway, Inc., before entering the army In March 1953. ,1uly 28 registrations will be open to girl scout camp to all girls, scouts and non-scouts at no extra charge. Ages 10 to 17. Registra tions should be made at the girl scout office. A five dollar registra tion fee is required. There are a limited number of registrations available. Gone Joe Wilkinson, stationed at Long Beach with the U.S. Army Air Corps has returned to his base after spending some time here with his mother, Mrs. Ralph Waggoner, Miller Island Road and other relatives and friends. Newcomers to Klamath Falls are Mr. and Mrs. O. Ipsen, for merly of Walla Walla. They are making their home at the Audley Apartments. Ipsen is with the Klamath Falls Creamery and Mrs. Ipsen. is in charge of the jewelry department at Miller's. Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Don Biggers, Redding were weekend guests of Biggers parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Biggers of the Mer rill Highway. Away Mrs. Olive Van Kirk,' in charge of the foundation depart ment of Miller's is spending her vacation with a son and daughter in Oakland. Man Complains of Peeping 'Blonde' H.RTFORD, Conn. (flV- Police said a man complained last night about a peeping blonde at his window. He said the blonde looked to be about 18 years old, wore a white blouse and full skirt and could run like the dickens. He said he chased her a good 50 yards, but she got away. Merrill Lions Club Meets MERRILL Otis Thompson, 2nd vice-president, presided at a regu lar meeting of the Merrill Lions Club Monday evening, in the ab sence of the president, Harold Hendrickson. Clyde Hammond re ported on the recreation program and the need for more funds to carry on the program next year. Dr. P. E. Trotman reported on the Merrill Park District and Im provements made in building and grounds last year; floors refin Ished. new siding outside, and the installation of a sprinkling system. Howard Dewey was elected rec reation director to replace Clyde Hammond who is leaving town in the near future. President Hend rickson has appointed the following committee chairmen for 1954-55: W. O.
