The official notice Nurnberg dateline stated that she has joined the force of young women assigned to service clubs throughout Europe. Barbara is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Dean H. Osborn, 20S7 Lawrence Street; and was graduated from Southern Oregon College in 1950. As a qualified recreational director, Barbara leads an in teresting 'on-the-job" life shares in off-duty entertainment which includes use- of game rooms, craft shops and ether fa cilities. Also music programs, parties, dances, tours and spec ial holiday entertainment ara offered the directors. 0 GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY . . . celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Snyder Sr., Sunday, June 13, at an open' house arranged as surprise for them by their nine sons, who live here; and their one daughter, who lives in Clarkston, Wash ington. A host of friends called during the open house hours at tha Senior Snyder home, 2934 Cortei. Following the afternoon reception, a family dinner was shared by the 10 children, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. . Eleanora Cappl became the bride of Joseph Snyder in the Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota Catholic Church, June 13, 1904. They moved here in 1929. Mr. Snyder, now retired, was with Weyerhaeuser Timber Company for 50 years, starting with them in Cloquet, Minnesota, and coming here as a sawyer. Mclvln- Orllllth read the marriage vows. Alice, the daughter of Mrs. Chiules Turner, Andnlusln, Ala bnmn, wore a white satin . gown which she made herself. Her ting ei tip length veil wns held in place by a semi-circle of flowers In her hair and she curried an old-lash-lone d nosegny arrangement of rosea. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Attaberry, Keno. Mnld of honor was Nancy Atta berry, sister of Uie bridegroom; bridesmaids were Berylc Mont gomery and Betto Attaberry, an other sister of Uie bridegroom. At tendants wore floor length gowns of blue net over satin. Best man was Glenn Abbott ot Klnmath Falls; George Powell and Vcrn Pndberg ushered. Joy Attaberry, the bridegroom's sister, was flower girl and John Griffith, son of the officiating min ister, was ring bearer. The bride was given in marriage by C. W. Bates, Bly. Following the ceremony, the young couple received their guests in the church basement where Mrs. C. W. Bates cut and served the wedding cake. Jean Howard and Ida Sohrakoff, who also served as vocal soloist, presided at the puncn dowi. The new Mr. and Mrs. Attaberry are at home In Keno. ; First Meeting With New. Sojourners Club Officers Sojourners and guests met in the Paul Bunyan Room of the WiUard Hotel for the no-hostess luncheon followed by the regular business meeting and social hour of cards. Mrs. C. E. Chase, new president, conducted the short business meet ng. Mrs. D. A. Mlddleton was wel comed as a guest; and Mrs. Bob Cheyne was Introduced as a new member. Past president, Mrs. Da vid Boyd was welcomed as a guest for the day. Mrs. Harry Glesin and Mrs. J. R. Rhodes were hostesses for the afternoon. In keeping with the Roundup theme, the members wore western dress. Mrs. L. P. Carter was awarded the prize for the best costume. Prises in cards were awarded to Mrs. N. E. Marcille Reynolds Grandfather Reads Ceremony For Her Marriage A wedding of Interest here took place in the First Presbyterian Church, Boise; when "Marcille Rey nolds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. Reynolds, former Klamath Falls residents, became the bride of Raymond Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred P. Nelson, Rolfe, Iowa. Both of the newlyweds are teaching In Auburn, California; and Marcille grew up In this lo locallty before leaving Klamath Falls taught 'at Fremont Junior High School. Her father wasfor many years head of the local chamber of com merce; and was transferred to Boise several years ago. However, he and his wife have kept in touch with old Basin friends some of whom were present at the wedding. The service was conducted by the Rev. Douglas D. TUi'.ny, pas tor of the church, and the mar riage ceremony was read by the bride's grandfather, the Rev. James Aiken Smith, D.D.. who is a retired assistant pastor of West minster Presbyterian church in Portland. Eighty guests attended the serv ice and the reception held after ward in the church parlor. The bride's gown was fashioned of white lace, ballerina length with a short veil. She carried a white Bible, topped with white iris. The matron of honor, Mrs. Er nest Hills ot San Mateo. California, and Mrs. Wesley Ezell of Klamath Falls, Oregon, the other attendant, wore ballerina length princess style dresses of pink sheer silk shantung with matching Juliet caps and bouquets of white roses with touches of pink. Mrs. Reynolds, the bride's mo ther, wore a light blue short or ganza dress with a white nat, and Mrs. Nelson wore a blue sheer summer dress. Jugo Covlch was best man and Earl Reynolds Jr., ana Eugene Howell were ushers. Among the vocal selections sung by Mrs. Eugene Chaffee was a new nuptial song, "The Pledge. written by Jennie Prince Black, Mrs. Ruby Ames was accompan 1st. Mrs. Reynolds Jr., Mrs. Earl W. Murphy, Mrs. Howell, and Mrs. Percy Murray of Klamath Falls, Oregon were assistants at the re ception. Out of town guests, in addition to those in the wedding party, were J. E. Reynolds of La, Grande, the bride's other grandfather; the Messrs. and Mmes. Charles H. Reynolds of La Grande; Mr. and Mrs. Lowell J. Smith and Oarrett Smith of Portland; Miss-Z o n a Clare Smith of Yellow Springs, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Murray of Klamath Falls, Ernest Hills of San Mateo, California, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Arlett of RosevUle, Cali fornia, and Mrs. Jugo Covlch of Auburn, California. After an extended trip to the east coast, the newlyweds wiD re turn to Auburn to live. Both are teachers In the Placer Union high school there. MaJin Rainbows j At Baker Meet A group of Malta Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star members re turned Sunday, June 27 from Ba ker, where they attended Rainbow Grand Assembly held there irom June 24 to 26. The Malln Assembly was greatly honored with special appointments to several members, Ruth Kalina, grand representative to Iowa and Joan Freitag, appointed to serve in the Grand Choir, participated in Grand Assembly sessions. Jean Loveness received the appointment of Grand Love and was Installed Saturday evening during installa tion ceremonies. The Assembly was also complimented upon tak ing second place in their service report.
