Grandstands will be erected and a conces sion stand will be in opera tion. 4-H NEWS AGENCY LAKE LIVESTOCK CLUB The Agency Lake Club held its regular meeting May IS, at the borne of Raymond Ray. A chart of merits and demerits was finished at the meeting. There are different colored stars given tor each thing you do right or wrong. Following are the colors and the things that each of them land for: Blue one for each meeting you attend: red one for each meeting that you are absent with out an excuse; silver one for each time you are absent and have an excuse; green for extra work that you do for the club, and a gold one equals five blue ones. When you have been to each meeting for five times you get the gold etar. The next meeting will be held June 12, at the home of the Erick sen's. Delia Ericksen MIDLAND GREEN THUMBS President. Leland Houck, called the meeting to order. The minutes were read and approved. 1 New business was to see how many were going to 4-H camp. Mrs. Rayson had received the 4-H books and she gave them to every body present. Nine were in atten dance. We also discussed our flow ers and vegetables. At the next meeting everyone in our club is supposed to bring an article about flowers or vegetables. The next meeting will be held at Jack Mltcham's house June 4. Everyone is to bring a sack lunch. At the end of the meeting Mrs. Houck served cake. and punch. Larry Mascotte GREEN GARDENERS The Green Gardeners Garden Club wss organized April 17. at the home of the leader, Mr. Merritt. Nominating and program commit tees were appointed. Nine mem bers were present. At a meeting at the home of Lloyd Seely on April 30 the nomi nating committee reported and nominations were also held from the floor. The following officers were elected: Lloyd Seely, presi dent; Lance davls, vice-president; Nancy Thomson, secretary: and Russell Schuh, news reporter. Several tests on soil were made to see If It had certain minerals. After the meeting refreshments were served by Mrs. Seeley. On May 8, Mr. and Mrs. Mer ritt took members of the Green Gardeners vegetable and flower s-arden club to the garden bazaar at the Standard Feed Store. They had a movie on roses advertising the use of Ortho products. Each flower club member received a free bush. Russell Schuh WOLVPACK TAKER THREE - RALEIGH, N.C.
