OREGON SATl'RDAY, MAY 20, IDM PAGE EIGHT JUST A PART of the 1954 KUHS graduating class at the an. nual Senior Banquet last Friday, May 21, in the Pine Grove Room of the Willard Hotel. Out of class of 213 over 200 were greeted at the door by Mrs. Richard Maxwell and Mrs. Lloyd Prock, co-chair-' men and hostesses for the event. Another tuccessful rummage sale engineered by Mrs. Prock for Parents and Patrons paid the big tab for the "turkey-and-all-the-trimmingi" feast served at 6:30. Kay Halaas at the organ played background music during dinner. Just before the first course, Mrs. Maxwell greeted the Senior Class guests then asked Mrs. Prock to take a bow for the many hours she labored for the "Cause." After the dessert course, Don Dexter, senior class presi dent expressed the group's heartfelt and genuine thanks to Parents and Patrons for an elegant meal and memorable even ing. WALTER SCHMIDT of Toketee Falls an. nounce the engagement of their granddaughter, Sharon Eliza beth Curran, to Randolph Robert David Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Randolph David Sr., of Chiloquin. Plans have been made for July wedding at the Bible Standard Church. David is a graduate of Chiloquin High School and at tended Oregon State College before working for the Klam ath Agency. Sharon has attended the local high school dtiring ha past year when she moved to Sprague River to make her erne with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Vince Bednar Jr. AL Auxiliary Initiation At the regular meeting of Uie American Legion Auxiliary Tues day May 18, president, Lina Mlt achenbecber, conducted a short business session; then turned the meeting over to the past presi dent who held an Initiation of new members with chairman Julia Parents' 48th Wedding Date Chosen by Daughter for Her Weddi ng in Salem on May 16th In a pretty afternoon ceremony in the First Christian Church of Salem, on May 18, Bernice Brltt became the bride of Ralph R. Houck. Both are from Klamath Palls. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Oossard. Salem who were celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary on their daughter's wedding day. Mr. and Mrs. Oossard were at- Bonanza GL Mothers' Tea BONANZA The annual Moth er's Tea given by the Oirls League of the Bonanza High School awas held in the auditorium Friday af ternoon. May 14. Each mother and guest was presented with a lovely carnation corsage by the girls. Patty Burk gave the welcoming address. Velda Rodgers speech was on "What the U.N. Means to Me." Velda i entered and won alternate In the contest sponsored by the Odd Fallows and Rebekah Lodges. The 7th and 8th grade chorus sang "Wonderful Mother of Mine," and "Kentucky Babe." Joan Day ley gave a story called "The Shoes of a Happy Man." Judy Sutherland recited "A Boy and His Dog." and "The Fellow Your Moter Thinks You Are." 8herry Crawford, Velda Rodgers, Sidney Ketchum and Margaret Rodgers sang "I Love You Best of All." Table decorations were an ar rangement of colorful spring tulips and candles surrounded by dainty pansles floating in the candle hold ers. Piano background music was played during the tea by Nancy Olvan, Janice Hazeltine, Michell Brett and Nora 8plllane. The sen ior girls poured. tendants at the double ring cere mony, read at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Wayne Green In the presence of Intimate friends and close rela tives. The bride wore a pale gray, summer weight twill suit with small white llowoa hat. white ac cessories and a lavender orchid at the shoulder. white gladioli and white roses were used at the altar. A wedding dinner at the home of the bride's parents followed the ceremony. The new Mr. and Mrs. Hcuck cut the first piece of their all white three-tiered wedding cake. Mrs. Houck has been office man ager for 15 years for the Shoop and Schults Service. Her husband is associated with the Coleman Union Service. They are now at home at 226 'i North Third Su Friendship Circle WOTM MERRILL The Friendship committee of Merrill Women of the Moose met May 14 at the Moose hall. Two new members were welcomed to the Friendship Cir cle. Eleanor Waits and Ellen Flegl. The members worked on a quilt. Potluck dessert was enjoyed by Ellen Flegi, Hazel Hundley. Myr tle Kucera, Eleanor Wales, Blanche Fies, Susan Williams, and co-worker Bessie Duncan. LOOM 306 and WOTM held their annual potluck dinner May 16, honoring all charger members. Fifty guests and members were present. Two guests, Stella Shul mire and Lillian Rosson from Klamath Falls attended, and helped with the program alter the o'clock dinner. Mrs. Dudley announced new com mlltee chairmen for the coming year: Ways and means, Mrs. Er nest Thaller; social, Mra. Lowell Neuter; service, Mrs, Virgil Blip- ulch: program, Mrs. Pat Soran; membership, Mrs, Arthur Farr; and publicity, Mrs. Rod MacFhnll. outs were presented to mis Brixner and Mrs. William Nelson retiring president, by Mrs. Lnwell Netscr and Mrs. Noel Flynn, re spectlvely, In recognition of their services during the past year. With the exception of about 14 years, which they spent Kt Red mond, they have lived In Klamath County all their married life. They have two daughtera, one son and six grandchildren. Faculty Wives Spring Banquet Eighty seven members of the Faculty Wives' Club and their guests attended the third annual spring bsnquet at Jen-Eds, May 14. Chairman for the event was Mrs. John Lake. Mra. Paul McCall. pres ident of the organisation, was mis tress of ceremonies for the pro gram which followed the dinner. Entertainment Included a style show. "Garden Fantasy", present ed by the Town Shop, and several songs by the "What Four" barber shop quartet. Mrs. cordon Kenaier waa respon sible for the banquet decorations. Dr. R. T.
