In a setting of lawn swings, urn- biella tables and a prolusion o! spring flowers, the Mothers Club of Sacred Heart Academy enter tained more than 400 guests from all over the Basin at t h e annual Silver Tea in honor of the Sisters of St. Francis. The parish hall was converted Into a garden patio, and the inlor mal hospitality of, modern outdoor living prevailed. ' Guests entered the tea room and passed by a brick planter. constructed for the occasion by committee members, and filled with pots of blossoming gerani ums and Ivy. In the receiving line were Mrs. Norman Moly, Mrs, Ray Kann, Mrs. Mike Lavenik, Mrs. William Ely. Mrs. Bert Igl and Mrs. Wll lard Llnehan. A wooden shrine with a statue of St, Francis formed an appro priate background for the silver dish in which contributions were placed. The theme, "Lilac Time," was carried out also on the tea table. ar'anged by Mrs. Carl Coulson Jr. Pouring during the afternoon were Mrs. Charles Bailey. Mrs. Gino Carnini, Mrs. J.C.Korscn and Mrs. Wlllard Llnehan. Background music for conversa tion was provided by Mrs. James Cronon and John Ely at the or gan. John was the recipient of this year's Mothers Club music scholarship. Mrs. Frank Bogatay was chilr man of the tea, assisted by Mrs. Stanley Fade, co-chairman. 7th BIRTHDAY LANGELL VALLEY Mrs. Claude Brown gave a birthday party at the Brown home Satur day, May 22, In honor of son Jimmy who was 7 years old. The boys enjoyed a wiener roast and an af ternoon of games. Present for the gay time were Jimmy, Benny, and Billy Brown; Kenny and Wayne Scott; Jimmy, Tommy and David Beater; and Rodney and Langdcn Blcler.
