Klrcher, LOST RIVER AUXILIARY MERRILL Lost River Auxi liary to post 4056 met April 7, in the recreation hall. President Mar garet Loper presided. Twenty-three of the auxiliary members attended joint Installation ceremonies held in Klamath Palls recently. Aloha Chapter 61; OES Meeting Grand Representatives ot : the Grand Chapter of Oregon were guests of honor at the stated meet ing of Aloha Chapter 61 OES, held Tuesday evening April 13 In the Masonio Temple. The grand representatives were presented lovely corsages. , The United States flag was doub ly honored. After regular escort, it was re-escorted to the altar by John Rhodes, associate t-ntron, and encircled by the 1054 officers and friendship girls, A beautiful tribute was then read By Raymond Owens, worthy patron. After the business meeting, a lively drill was performed by the friendship . girls. A visitor, Cliff Maust, past patron of Alpha Chap ter; was introduced and Charles Nale were welcomed back after a long absence. ... i The Pennsylvania Dutch theme was used for decorating the ban quet hall. Each table held potted tulips, wooden shoes, dutch dolls and peace pipes. A large windmill decorating the head table was the center of attraction. Betty Thorn ton planned and arranged the dec orations, assisted by Mildred Dim-bat. Aloha Social club provided the refreshments which were served by Dorothy Bramlett (president); Bet ty Thornton, Olive Thomas, Verla Land and Elmer Bramlett, Job's Daughters Bethel No. 6 will have an Initiation at the next stat ed meeting of Aloha chapter which will be held April 27. Phyllis Pool and Minnie Grizzle will be In charge of refreshments. BPW Meeting Members of the Business and Professional Women's Club were treated to a "look-see' of them selves on television at the April 5 dinner-meeting at the Wlllard Hotel when members of the elec tronics department of Oregon Tech used equipment from the college to record and re-broadcast the dinner program.- Cameraman was Don Orrell. Other entertainers were Bar bara, Mary and - Joan Scbultz, Tulelake vocal trio, and Mr, and Mrs. Fred Dallas on violin and piano.. ; t Program chairman was Maude Davis, BPW radio and television chairman, assisted by Bernice Grewell of OTI. Chairmen of the various commit tees were: publicity, Lillian Ot terbeln and Lorraine Quilien; dec orations, Bernice Grewell, Eva Ezry, Mollie Williams, Ruth Doerr; hospitality, Polly Schroed- er, Dena Backes, Agnes Lageson, Clara Lubke and Eva M. Bailey. SOROPTIMIST The Rev. Galen H. Onstad. pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal Church brought a brief and im pressive Easter message to mem bers of the 8oroptlmi.it Club at the Wlnema Hotel during the luncheon hour, Thursday, April 15. The Madrigal chorus from Sacred Heart Academy beautifully sang three difficult arrangements. Program chairman was Ruth Lobaugh. Gay Easter hats, worn by Dena Backes and Mary Bothwell started the ball rolling for fines on other Easter bonnets worn by members. Ruth Bathlany, Harbor, Oregon, former Klamath Falls resident was a guest. s m$ I () f i. ' f) 4 c SEEING THEMSELVES ON TELEVISION was a thrill for mem bers of the Business and Professional Women's Club and their . guests from OTI, at the television show put on by the elec tronics department of the college at the the April 5 meeting at the Willard Hotel. The television camera, part of the pro gram, table mats, and other decorations were all from the college. Seated at the head table, were (1 to r) Bornice Gre well, registrar at OTI; Maude Davis, BPW radio and tele vision chairman; Imogene Boothby, BPW president; Vera Cook, recording secretary; Nell Stewart, treasurer and toy Smith, corresponding secretary. The Wllcys and Boivlns returned to Klamath Falls, Friday, after a side trip to Mt. Rose, and the Adams continued south, where part of their wedding trip was spent In San Francisco, and the hostesses, Mrs. Wilson Wiley and Mrs. Harry Boivin.
