Vo'cal chords are all polished, tuning pipes are out of moth balls and all's ready for the curtain to go up, at 8 p.m. Sawmill Lost in Bad Fire REDDING. Calif. Wl Fire de stroyed most of the Indian Head Lumber Mill at Little Valley Tues day causing damage estimated at 1700,000. The sawmill, 'dry kilns and boiler room were demolished. Only the planer mill and tool shops were left standing. . Pire Chief Noel Bassett of Pall River Mills estimated damage at 700,000, The mill, about 7o miles north east of Redding, employed about 120 men. It Is owned by stallman and Emerlck of New York. The mill was processing pine and cedar. r Cause of the fire was not known. New Appeals District Urged WASHINGTON UH A new 11th Circuit Court of Appeals covering the states of Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Montana and the ter ritory of Alaska would be created under a bill introduced by Rep Hillings (R-Calif). The bill would divide th pres ent 9th judicial circuit and give the new court four Judges and the authority to sit In Seattle and Portland. The 9th circuit, which now cov ers seven Western states and the territories of Alaska, Hawaii and Guam with nine Judges, would have eight Judges and embrace Arizona, California, Nevada, Guam and Hawaii. Chief Judge William Denman of the 9th court requested the legis lation, He said it Is needed be cause of the tremendous popula tion growth In the West and a large backlog of cases. BPA Ordered To Occupy Building PORTLAND Ifi Bonneville Power Administration, whose oc cupancy of the new Lloyd Build ing here has been in question for some time, now has a directive to move in without delay. Ralph Tudor, under secretary of the interior, sent the word Wed nesday. The matter had been held up because of a feeling by mem bers of a congressional subcom mittee that Bonneville had ar ranged improperly to lease the building, which was- built to BPA plans. The physician, of the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United Statesi told the American College of Physicians that the recent analysis involved studies of the records "of 725,000 Insured in dividuals and 18.000 deaths in some 133 "Impairment" classifications, He said the findings are based on the experience of 27 insurance companies. Concerning tuberculosis, the doc tor said the survey showed that if a person survives five years after his TB has been "arrested,'.' the possibility of death is no greater than it would be for the average of people of the same age. . "And 10 years after arrest, mor tality becomes appreciably (less) than average," he said. "It ap pears that the discipline accom panying cure of his disease pays dividends to the tuberculosis indi vidual in training him to safeguard his health in the future." Flaming Air Tanker Crashes TOKYO JR - An American Su perfort tanker plane exploded and crashed Thursday while refueling a jet fighter in the - air and five crewmen are believed to have died. The jet was not damaged. The Air Force said it has found four bodies and another crewman is missing and presumed dead. Six crewmen parachuted from the flaming air tanker. They were taken to a hospital for a check. Names of the crew were with held. A spokesman said cause of the fire was not determined. The tanker sprang a leak while refueling an F84 Thunderjet near Nagoya in Central Japan.. The jet disengaged. Fire broke out almost immed iately and an explosion followed. The tanker crashed on an open hillside. Helicopters and ground parties found the bodies. The tanker belonged to the 431st Air Refueling Squadron at Yokota Air Base near Tokyo.
