Jail Cell Fight An altercation stemming from the use of a washbowl in the big tank In the city Jail may cost Joe Movarro S3 the sight of. un eye. city police reported this morning. According to other prisoners in the cell Uie fight started early Tuesday morning when Emest Peters 51 objected to Novarro's washing his socks in the washbowl when the other men wanted to wash up for breakfast. Both men are serving sentences on a drunk charge. Following the fight, which was of short duration it was discov ered that Novarro had a badly damaged eye. At the suggestion of Dr. S. M. Kerron, county health officer, Novarro was treated by an eye specialist who told police Navarro may lose sight of the eye.
