En tertainment will be provided for children. C. E. Organizes Committees For State Convention Here Klamath Falls will be host la the State Christian Endeavor Con vention April 3 through . May . Christian Endeavor is an interde nominational Christian youth or ganisation. The cemmittee planning for the convention Is beaded ' by Elton Fishbgck, principal of Shasta School. Assisting aim is John Wi koff. Wikoff is also head of the committee to provide transporta tion for any of the expected 1000 to two delegates who may not have tneir own transportation. A. R. Dickson, present Klamath County assessor, is treasurer for the coming C.E. Convention. Mrs. Roy Lundgren acts as secretary ior the central committee. Fred Malin Plans March Service Malin Community Presbyterian Ladies Aid Society is sponsoring a worship service and call to prayer on Friday, March S, from 2 to 3 p.m. All Christian women of the Mt. BARNETT JR., for ten years minister at the First .Presbyterian Church, 601 Pine, has accepted a call to the First Presbyterian Church at Santa Rosa, California. He will hold his final services in Klamath Falls Sunday, February 21, and the family will leave the follow ing week for their new home at 2008 Terrace Way. Rev. Barnett Acce pts Call to Santa Rosa The Rev. David F. Barnett Jr., will hold his final Sunday services in the Kl&inath Falls Presbyterian Church February 21. The Rev. Barnett has been called to the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Rosa. The Santa Rosa church' will be the Rev. Barnett's third pastorate in his 15 years of ministerial work. He is a native of California and graduated from Del Monte HIIjti School, Del Monte, California. The Rev. Barnett attended Pas adena Junior College, Occidental College in Los Angeles, and San Francisco Theological Seminary at San Anselmo. Following comple tion of studies at the S.F. Theologi cal Seminary, he assumed his first pastorate . at . Gardenia's First Presbyterian church, where he stayed for five years. In 1944 the Rev. Barnett and bis family came to Klnmath Falls, lor what was due to be 10 vears oi service to Klamathltes. In addition to Ills regular minis. terlal work, the Rev. Acting as pas tor advisors aro the Rev. William Ainlcy, minister of the Mt. Laki Community Church, and the Rev. George Alder, minister of' the First Christian Church of Klamath Falls. Under this central committee are numerous sub-committees set up to organize and handle housing, transportation, registrations, pub llclty, prepare for the large ban quet and provide ushering and pag ing service. Members of the cen tral committee meet with one or more of these sub-commlttces each week. Tule To Organize Baptist Church Thirty-eight people will meet at the Legion Hall In Tulelake, Sunday afternoon, February 21. at 2:30 p.m., to organize the First Baptist Church of Tulelake. For more than a year a mission has been conducted In Tulelake, affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Klamath Falls. The Sun day School presently averages more than 50 people In regular at tendance. The Rev. Francis E. Broylcs has been the local pastor since April IS, 1953. A full schedule of services will continue to be conducted by the Tulelake group. In the church's building pro gram, the modern educational unit constructed adjoining the main church building and the tower have been completed and paid for at a cost of about 200,000. AU the prop erty is debt free, and a fund and pledges have been established for the completion of a new sanctuary. The new pastorale at 1550 Pa cific Avenue, Santa Rosa, has a congregation of 1075, 250 more than the local church, and has plans for the completion of a build ing project. Women's. Society Holds Business? Social Meet FORT KLAMATH Members of the Women's Society of christian Service or the Fort Klamath Com munity Methodist Church convened at the homo of Mrs. James F. Van Wormer Thursday afternoon, February 11, for the ! regular monthly meeting of the group. As sisting Mrs. Van Wormer as host ess was Mrs. Harold L. Wlmer. The business session was con ducted by the president, Mrs. Raymond S. Loosley, who opened the meeting by reading an excerpt from Abundant Living,'- on uie topic of racial prejudice, In keep ing ' with this month's observance of the subject In churches through out the nation. The Janitorial service calendar for the year was presented by Mrs. Richard H. Wilson. Mrs. Wilson also reported that work will soon be completed on the pew project currently underway by her husband and his brother, Carl. Five of Uie ten IO-toot long pews have been completed; the other five lack only the final finishing work, she stated. To augment the general Improve ment fund of the group, members have been taking and filling orders for baked goods, and in order to decide 011 a act price schedule for each variety, the committee will meet soon. From, January 1 until September 1954, the Oregon Town and Country Church Improvement con test is again being conducted this year under the sponsorship of the Oregon Council of Churches and the Scars, Roebuck Foundation. Meeting WILLIAMSON RIVER Quilts, a project of the WUliamson River Mission Club, are stUl in the con struction stage but will be com pleted - soon and sold. Proceeds will be used to buy more material to continue the work. Mrs. Alt a Jackson donated a pieced quilt at the regular meet ing of the Mission Cluo February 11. The 47 of ficers and teachers of the Sunday School will meet these evenings with Bill Bullock, director of edu cation of the church, in prepara tion for a permanent program of visitation that will carry them Into the homes of many prospective members of the Sunday School. The enlargement program- Is in cooperation with the plan of the tjoutnern Baptist convention to en list "A Million More In '54" In the Sunday Schools of Its 28,000 church es across the nation.
