The new area directors, and the states under each include: Area l Portland James F. Doyle, now assistant BLM re gional administrator there; Wash ington, Oregon ana uniitornia. . The new area offices will replace six regional offices in Billings, San Francisco, Albuquerque, Washington, Portland and Salt Lake City. BLM Director Edward Wooley said establishment of the area of fices and appointment of the three administrators is the first step to ward carrying out recommenda tions of a survey team for reor ganization of the bureau. Secre tary. McKay approved the recom mendations. Woozley said In a news release that the area offices have been located "to give better economical service according to geographical locations." Eleven state BLM offices to be operating units for the area offi ces will be located In Bpbkane, Wash.; Portland; Boise, Idaho; Billings: Cheyenne, Wyo.; Denver: Salt Lake City; Reno, Nev.; Sac ramento, Calif.; Phoenix, Ariz.; and Sanata Fe, N.M. A branch of the Sacramento office ' will be In Los Angeles. Coffee Lists WASHINGTON Ift Sen. Beall (R-Md) said today one New York coffee - broker has supplied inves tigating senators with a complete list of all trades and traders In coffee futures contracts of recent months. Beall is chairman of a Senate banking subcommittee looking into the jump in coffee prices. He said the group will wait "a week or ten days" to enable oUier coffee brokers to supply similar lists on a voluntary basis. He has said subpoenas will be used if neces sary to get the Information. The next public testimony, Beall said, will be by large buyers of coffee such as chain stores and oilier retailers. Gustavo Lobo Jr., president of the New York Coffee and Sugar Exchange, has urged all members to supply lists of all transactions and lists of customers. He said member firms are "anx ious to have the public know the facts and to disprove some of the erroneous statements. ' Senators agreed not to publish names of customers and their trad. ing in coffee unless they discover "something out of line,'' Beall said he would not make public at this time the name of the first broker to cooperate. This week the Senate approved a bill that would impose govern ment regulation and supervision of all collce futures trading by the Commodity Exchange Administra tion, an agency of the Agriculture Department.
