night. In the 1052 campaign in
Oregon, Republicans spent 14 times'

Stewart's home is Pullman,

Mrs. Bates said Stewart left
camp each morning and returned
at night. Monday night he failed
to return and a search of his tent
revealed he had taken no bedding
or extra food with him.
His rifle was the only article
missing.
The Wagon Wheelers, a mounted
sheriff's posse, started the search
in coordination with two teams of
Alaskan sled dogs. The owner of
one team also will have with him
two bloodhounds.
