Kirnon, 17, got into Municipal Court today on a free pass charged with larceny. He presented a 'free pass to the cashier at the Fenway Theatre last night and went in to see "Tex as Badman." Town Elects Two Mayors To Serve Consecutive HAMILTON, Ohio tW The Ham ilton City Council, deadlocked over the election of a mayor, worked its way out of the dilemma yes terday by electing two mayors. Arthur Wilson of the People's par ty will serve during 1954 and Ar thur piehrer of the Forward Ham ilton will serve during 1955. The deadlock arose as a result of a situation in which the People's party had three council members, the Forward Hamilton party three members and then there was Her bert Mich, elected as an Independ ent. Votes taken Monday were 3-3-1 with Mich voting for himself. Yes terday, however, the Forward Hamilton members broke partv lines and voted for Fiehrer to serve during 1955. Mich refused to vote, declared he was a candidate himself. E. H. Perrson, direotor of law. expressed belief the dual election was legal even though unusual. Cook's activities all have to do with the five-day 26th annual In ternational Roller Breeders grand championship show, sponsored by the Salt Lake Roller Club. Not precisely an international event, the show has attracted en tries from most of the Western states as far east as Oklahoma, Cook, of Morgan, Utah, is one of the country's foremost judges of the roller canary s warble. He first became interested in the breed at the age of 9 and studied for 15 years in England. The re maining 52-plus years he has spent judging the downy-throated notes in the United States. Cook says the roller is not to be confused with the common, house - and garden variety of canary. It is a bird revered per haps more for its voice than for its feathered finery. The birds came originally from the Canary Islands and were es pecially selected for their singing qualities, Cook said. They were taken to Europe, where their train ing as the opera stars of the can ary world was apparently taken over mainly by the Germans. Cook conducts his auditions in his hotel room, privately and Im partially. He checks each entry as a quartet, then listens to eacb bird on a solo kick.
