a total of 14 lightning flies during
the recent concentration. All the
fires were small with the excep
tion of one Just west of die Lava
Beds National Monument. Approxi
mately 2,000 acres of grassland
burned before it was brought un
der control. Another fire one mils
north of the Lawrence ' Cantrall
Ranch in Jess Valley burned four
or five acres of heavy timber and

ing and well made, it will be ready
