WASHINGTON W President Eisenhower Friday made it offi cial: Ohio is a full fledged member 01 ine union. He signed a bill confirming that: "The state of Ohio. . is hereby declared to be one of the United States of America and is admitted into the union -on an equal footing with the original states." The bill became necessary after historians turned up the somewhat startling fact that Congress never had formally admitted Ohio, al though it had approved the state's boundaries and constitution. The bill established Ohio's date of admission as March 1, 1803 the day the first state legislature met at Chillicothe and the first gover nor, Edwin Tiffin, took office. Sweden-E. German Ferries To Resume BERLIN IB Sweden and East Germany have agreed to le-estab-lish Baltic train ferries between the East German island of Ruegen and the Swedish port ol Traelle bors, it was announced here. Ruegen has figured as a Soviet naval point in cold war rumors. East German authorities stopped the train ferries on the grounds they interferrcd with "fisheries" in the island waters. Traffic was detoured by way of Warnemucnde, a route that will be abandoned Aug. 17 when the Rcugen route is reopened.
