The base index prices for this sale are an average of the monthly Western Pine As sociation lumber prices indices from April 1 to June 30, 1953. In addition to the prices bid for stumpage, a cooperative deposit of $.00 per M board feet, to be used by the forest service for paying the cost of slash disposal, and a cooperative deposit of $0.50 per M board feet, to cover the cost of tree planting, seed sowing, and timber stand improvement work on the rea cutover for the total cut of live and marked dead saw timber under the terms of the agreement, will be rcou'red.
